    • @asg1183
      @asg1183 2 года назад +8

      @@mariajason3547 ok.. know it this way.
      Urdu is a language created by mixing Arabic and Hindi.
      Arabic speaking mughals converted the hindi/sanskrit speaking locals of the Indian subcontinent into muslims during their long periods of invasion/mass-murders/rapes etc.
      Now these newly converted people spoke Hindi whereas islam was already based on arabic( language history shows its roots in sanskrit too). So they had to mix up the two and came up with a new language Urdu.
      In present, as because most muslims( here Indian) does read or listen or atleast grows in a family where multiple people knows the quran, they naturally come up with a vocabulary which is or similar to urdu.

    This was exciting for me to watch, cuz I visited Mumbai just a few weeks ago, (Feb-early March). The south Mumbai colonial architecture is amazing. I stayed at the Taj Palace Hotel for a week, it was a great experience because the hotel has a lot of history, and the ocean view was spectacular, but the room was small. I then stayed at the JW Marriott (not a luxury hotel like the Taj) for a week and got a huge suite with a beach view. The traffic is crazy, the hot weather is unbearable, I hated it at first, but then fell in love with the city once I got used to it. Unlike you, I did not explore the city on foot. I had a local hostess traveling with me, who was overprotective, so I only traveled by car and I was not allowed to eat street food. I'm hoping to visit Mumbai again.

Yeah the food is known is for its spiciness but there are many dishes which are not spicy and still taste a lot better. And Indian deserts are the best.
      You must try Indian street food......Not even the Taj can offer that kind of deliciousness which the Indian streets can offer.

    Harry please be careful drinking fruit juices in India. I lived most part of my life in Mumbai. Even if you do drink them just tell them don't add ice to your juice. Also street food. I will suggest 3-4 popular restaurants that are very old and unique. Hopefully you have time to visit and try the food there. What you had at Gate way of India is Kulfi. Kulfi is made from cream of milk, saffron, sugar, cardamom, rose and pistachios. The ingredients vary sometimes but main ingredient that give fragrance is saffron depending on flavours like mango kulfi, coconut etc. The difference between your regular ice-cream and kulfi is Kulfi isn't beaten or whipped hence it slightly has a dense and solid texture like a sorbet. There are pretty good shops you get better kulfis in Mumbai. Lol 😂😂😂 there are loads of coconuts in India, especially all the coastal areas of India produce coconuts and when you go towards the southern side of India especially Goa, Kerala every dish would consist of coconut in it also coconut oil is used in cooking in Kerala.
    Places you can visit to eat Parsi food.
    •Kyani & Co --- it's located in Marine Lines, Mumbai. Eat your breakfast here.
    •Britaniaa & Co -- this is in Fort, Mumbai. It's open only for 4 hours. 12pm to 4 pm.
    You can also go to
    •Mahesh Lunch home for sea food. There are various branches. Good sea food you get here.
    •Cafe Leopold - it's an old cafe that started in 1871 and most of the tourists visit this cafe located in Colaba. It has a history for the Mumbai attack that happened in 2008.
