It might be worth looking at which boss cosplay is the most powerful. You have a lot to look at between Godslayers, Radhan, Morgott, Malenia, Godfrey, and even Maliketh. Cosplay in this case means a build that allows wearing the armor and using any weapons/spells used by the boss.
Underrated fun build - The bastard stars and family head synergize well due to both being Dex/Int. Prior to engagement cast family heads, let them get close to the boss, then use Nebula. Great damage, and poise damage. From here it should take one or two jumping attacks to break the poise of most bosses (if enough Nebula explosions hit). So you can slip the crit damage talisman in and misericorde for buffed crit damage and switch back to the stars with no issue - since Stars isn't buffed it won't lose any damage. In addition you can slip Glintblade on the misericorde to make sure that you are not just a damage god, but a poise breaking bastard. Just this combo does astronomical damage. From there you can razzle dazzle with whatever you want to finish off the boss/enemy as you likely forced them into phase two or flat out killed them.

Very nice! On another note, have you tried out the glintstone kris dagger? It's a very similar setup. I've hit an omen for 4200 damage with one fully charged glintstone dart! I call it "The pew pew bang" Here's a nerdy rant about my build's power: Talismans: Godfrey, scorpion, alexander, Buffs: Spellblade Set, magic physik, Commanders Standard (you can afford the 24 str because glintstone dart is very fp efficient and on 11 endurance, you are still on medium roll), terra magica, ranni's dark moon. That is 1.12 x 1.15 x 1.15 x 1.08 x 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.35 x 1.1 = 3.4x more damage without cold debuff. Routine: drink physik, rally, terra magica, (cast moon or freezing mist). Stats: rl 137, 50 vig, 22 mind, 11 end, 24 str, 14 dex, 80 int. (On rl. 125 you pass on the commander's standard, run base strength and 18 mind). Final note: yes, it is extremly braindead but on the other hand very satisfying.

This is better! the wing of astel does attack faster on melee attacms, but the wing of astel does NOT have a melee hitbox. it only has same explosions. the melee hitbox on the bastard stars does around 2k damage even without the explosions!

This makes Wing of Astel vastly more consistent than Bastards Stars as the most bullets you can hit with the Bastard Stars is 8. Now as for the explosion, the melee hitbox will do 1,116.972 damage based on the average magic damage negation assuming you aren't using buffs. On average Wing of Astel will hit for 3348.243 damage and Bastard Stars will hit for 2271.835. It's like rolling a dice, the RNG lies in all attacks actually landing. So while it has numerically higher potential, it has less consistency. Which, in the grand scheme, results in it being inferior, despite being numerically superior as higher damage is only better if you can get that damage on demand.

as you said this weapon is truly underrated but once i got used to it, its just a fun weapon to use now mostly im using it in pvp as wake up attack if you know how to space it everybody will get confused by it and it roll catch go with panic rolling
I love flexible weapons and am excited that flails have been buffed in the last upgrade. Thanks for the video, I'll definitely try that! Edit: I'm at 60 int, have the two blue magic talismans equipped and do 500 damage per swing against trolls. The Glintstone Pebble spell does about as much damage. So far this flail is about as OP as a throwing dagger.
With my int-based character, I usually used the Uchi + Carian Granduer (PvE - I don't PvP), so never really ever used the Moonveil or DMGS :P Currently doing an Int-Fai with... naturally the SoNaF + Golden Order Seal. Don't have the Gelmir staff or prince of death's staff yet.
Yeah..I've known this for a while now. I expected buffs to this weapon long ago and upgraded it to the max just in case..and now it fuckin' shreds enemies like butter in ng+7 and beyond
This was the "first" weapon I used as a main, used the thorn wizard chest piece, gloves, boots idk and the horns of those river guys... and the necromancer mace that idr the name as power stance. It was a amazing pve build. (Thats when the game lauched and flails were dog shit)
I love this weapon. But im having a problem actually hitting consistently. Enemies can walk towards you while you swing barely missing your physical swing, and the circle ash will miss because they are too close. I want it to work out so i keep trying and practicing. But i cant avoid the obvious fact that it takes a time investment to position yourself and enemies to where it actually hits
This game really needs transmogrify. I tend to look goofy trying these set ups when really I just don't want to be squishy. I might try the flail. I've been walking around with it in my pocket for a while but I normally use a rapier.

I picked up wing of astel on my first playthrough and never put it down. I love the charged heavy on it, it makes up for the weaker nebula imo

Meteorite staff has S on INT but we cannot upgrade it, otherwise it would've been too broken. Just enable us to upgrade that staff.
You would have to drastically increase the requirements to use it then. Otherwise anyone could be stupid broken with it
