Totally been there. 4mph gusts to 12. Almost did my first flight just hand kiting.

kiting in 20+ mph is fun as hell! Of course, being caged into a small field with power lines and barbwire on all sides... not so much.

My atlas wing and harness are free flight capable. HOwever, I get air sick easily and there's a severe lack of open areas w/o power lines overhead here. They really do zig zag overhead. Add the fact that the power company put up new poles but the phone company kept the old. Yeah, FF in my hood is a no go. Thanks for watching!

oh yeah, still diggin the 18XL and mten. I was just remarking yesterday about how great my 18xl is. I rode it across the field in this vid, carrying stuff. You can see it in the back of my truck. Good hearing from you, hopefully all is well!

Its a pretty gnarly and tight spot to fly in and out of for sure. I've done it a few times, but only when Im feeling fairly bold. Cold weather seems to keep me timid.
