Thank you for giving the W.H.A.T acronym as structure in giving a Toast like in a wedding 🥰 Why are we here. How are we connected. Anecdote that is relevant. Thanks message and invite all to cheers 🥳
I'm Thirsty of a good and healthy conversation. Thanks God l found you. English is not my first language, but l love to speak in English. This interview is single-handedly helping my children’s report cards! (Here in Italy they do a LOT of “talk to me about …” for exams, starting in grade 2!!
Insightful. I think the video contains more than Small talk like how to make a Toast, how to demonstrate emotional intelligence, and communication structures, to mention but a few. Thank you.
His Tedx really made an impact when I first heard it and I watched it again and again. I enjoyed it and love this conversation sharing more of his expertise to all. Thank you, Matt and Chase! Superb!
Thank you this was such a brilliant podcast, I really struggle with public speaking and having to speak up on the spot, I am going to try some of these strategies
Really revealing!!! I feel comfi more aftr a unplanned speach than a planned one.. If i try to remmbr smthing during speach i feel diffident.. Thanks a lot fr those structures.. I connect ideas through eg of progressive evolving of ideas.. But this is better ways giving foothold into the topic.. 👍🏼👍🏼
It was a great podcast with Matt, it is such high-quality frameworks, and ideas that helped and will help me soon for my career growth. Thanks, Chase Jarvis for this gem.
Huge and sincere thnx to u, i've always been a nervous speaker, when i was asked to do a report to my boss in front of a bunch of people, it has always been difficult for me, sometimes i was so nervous that i cant even speak a word or apeak with tremble, it make me really feel awkward😢😢, hope ur tips could help me out. Thnx against
DEAR CHASE!!! YOU ASK THE BESTEST AND MOST HELPFUL QUESTIONS!!! ▪︎▪︎◇ HOW do you DO that!!!!?!?!? Wow..! Your QUESTIONS are incrEDibly acerbic!!! And helpful!!+
I speak in the state legislature at our capitol on issues like executions, sex trafficking and domestic violence. Law professors critique my final words, then I am questioned by the legislature. I really need to use your tools. Thank you.
Excellent video! I used to be confident with my public speaking abilities, following what , now what , so what structure. But recently I am losing confidence in my ability to speak in front of people, then I become self conscious and withdraw. How do you overcome this setback?
Matt talks a bit about this in the show. Start around 7:43. He gets into some ways to manage symptoms of speaking anxiety starting around 13:41. Also, if you're really interested in overcoming it, you might want to check out his book on the topic "Speaking Up without Freaking Out" Hope that helps!
If your language is originally in English so it's easy for you to talk in English than those who are just learning your language. If it's hard for you to talk it is because your confidence is not that strong.
Do you recommend, learning public speaking for 5 minutes and then increase? what is your thought. I know the stuff, but mind becomes blank in public. where do we get the stage for practice
Great convo. In my ‘Leadership and Personal Branding’ podcast, I help people prepare by asking them two self-discovery questions, and interview them in a spontaneous, conversational dialogue to inspire them to lead the way with their unique personal brand story.
Great insight. Great conversation. Thank you for this. Some real nuggets there.❤
Agree! I love the frameworks, so helpful
