  • Short flight from MO3 over Stockton Lake to landing at Branson West airport near Table Rock Lake. Nice lake video over Stockton from the wing camera.

When you upgrade let me know. I’d be interested. I think you’re a smart guy. You have a low stall speed, a brs, can’t get lost…it is a fantastic time builder if not more and a money saver.

The flight design’s sound like RC planes

Yes a little bit. The Rotax engine operates at 5000+ RPM. On my videos the sound is muted a little by the airstream and probably my camera enclosure for the wing mount.

Hi I enjoy your videos very much.
Can you share what’s the UL of your CTLS? Is it enough to fly with your wife with full fuel?
I am considering a CTLSi myself.

Hi. Thanks for watching the videos. I only fly with full fuel when I am flying solo. You rarely need anywhere near that much fuel anyway. We tend to break up our Cross-Country flights to stretch our legs anyway. I believe CTLSi is slightly heavier than CTLS so you might be a bit lower UL depending on equipment. My UL is 550. Things could change in this area due to the new proposed MOSAIC rule changes. But either way, it is not too difficult to manage the W&B.

What moving map set up have you fitted i.e. clamp details and is that an ipad mini?

    • @ctcrosswindadventures5165
      @ctcrosswindadventures5165  5 месяцев назад

Yes, it is an iPad mini on a mount which is clamped to the aft protruding edge of the glareshield. It is a generic tablet clamp from eBay, I think. I use ForeFlight combined with a Sentry ADSB receiver which gives me traffic and weather radar. You can see the clamp a little better in another video to Southern Illinois for lunch. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hello Sir, I hope you are keeping well. Thank you for the vidéo work! I’ve been following your channel a while and I do enjoy your editing as well as your thorough procedural flying abilities. Very well done!
I live in Switzerland and am also flying the CTLS - what an incredible machine, am enjoying every second of it an would not trade it for anything else now that I have tasted it 😉
Wanted to ask if you could give me any indication about where you procured the central dashboard mount for your nav iPad mini? To date, I still couldn’t find anything suitable for mine. It looks like what you have there might be the solution but I don’t seem to find any such thing in Europe. Any indication about where you were able to source it from would be really helpful to me.
Many thanks in advance! Leaving my perso email address for you here, in case this is easier to communicate further.
Hope to hear from you and happy flights! Greetings from Switzerland 😎

Hello Alain, so happy to hear you are enjoying my videos. Thank you for the nice compliments. Like you, we are enjoying every flight in our CTLS. It is indeed an incredible machine.
The iPad mount I use can be found here:
      www.arkon.com/product/EXBK131-exercise-bike-tablet-clamp.html
You can probably find it on amazon as well. I clamp in onto the aft protruding edge of the glareshield. Also, I had to rotate the cradle 90 degrees to eliminate overlapping my primary GPS on the panel. So it actually grips the iPad on the left and right sides. If you watch the video "...Southern Illinois for Lunch" you can see the mount from the side view. I also use a Sentry ADS-B receiver connected to the iPad via Wi-Fi. Let me know if you are able to procure the mount.
Do you plan to make any GoPro videos? Let me know as well.
      Thanks again for watching.
      Richard
