My brother was too little so they played it together and she read all the dialogue out for him. He had me play pokemon diamond when i was 4, that was when my journey started lol

Umbreon is my favorite shiny eeveelution partly because Espeon in gens prior to 6 looked a way worse hue of green than its present version. Plus Umbreon itself is just about the only dark type you can get before the elite 4 in its debut games. Maybe Murkrow is available too but I don't recall.

How I got into Pokemon - Lots of kids at school had the cards, but we were too poor for that but that's how I knew about it. Then one day I won a transparent purple Gameboy Colour on a big raffle my school was doing for charity and it came with a gift card that had enough on it for a game. My dad took me to Macros to buy a game, but he's also an absolute asshole and refused to let me have any game I picked up because he decided they were too "male" for me. Then I saw Pokemon Yellow. He saw cute Pikachu on the box, asked me what it was about and I told him it was a pet game. He didn't look into it further. After that I was hooked and my mum would try to get me the new game every time one came out, like we were so poor she would take out a loan at Christmas just to get us things. When Black and White came out I was earning my own income to buy them myself so I took it from there. I still have every single game, including my Gameboy Colour and my original Pokemon Yellow. Only one I don't have is green.
Honestly, my favorite had to be Zangoose. I love that Pokémon and it's shiny. Though, two of your Pokémon are also some of my least favorites of all time (Delphox and Blastoise) so competition wasn't too big

Im still on my shiny badge quest in X too. I was lucky to get Fenniken under 1000 resets. But it ended up biting me in the butt and I was resetting for Bulbasuar for almost a year instead. Havent touched the game since badge 4. I need to finish my quest eventually
@Oshawaves I actually found my 3ds! So rn we got Delphox, Venasur, Nidoking and Peliper as the current team. I can't remember the teams nicknames other than Salem for Delphox and Gia for Venasur. I'll have to charge it up to get the rest of the names. Last I remember was doing srs for a shiny in the desert area like what you did for Dugtrio. Edit!: Nidoking is Goliath and Peliper is Gulpa!
The odds of getting one full odds pokemon are 1/4096. But since you encounter 5 at once, it'd be easier to say it's 5/4096. The first Durant was shiny, then there was two in between the other shiny. Specifically, your odds to get that specific combo was a 0.000000596% chance, or 1 in 16 million. In general, if you dont care about the order it was in, it would've been about a flat 1/671000 chance. They were both girls, so if you wanna add that 50% in you could :P

This is because the replayability isn't in the world itself, but the mechanics of the environment and how characters interact with each other. This is something ScVi severely lack. There is no environmental storytelling, no environmental structure, no environmental interaction. Meanwhile, all characters are the same, there is no individuality, especially among the pokemon themselves. ScVi lack one last major thing that successful open worlds have, and that would be the large lack or interactions per area. Everything is spaced out and too sparse.
My first ever shiny was a shiny Durant from a bush encounter in Pokemon X unfortunately I deleted that file a long time ago, but I’m working on getting back to that route so I can reclaim it in a shiny only play through I’m doing my self but I’m currently stuck on the gift lapras, I’ve been talking to the breeder for 100 hours maybe more at this point

Back in like 2010/2011 I only was interested in the anime’s, however, my brother had pokemon diamond, and that was the game that got me interested.

How I got into Pokemon - Lots of kids at school had the cards, but we were too poor for that but that's how I knew about it. Then one day I won a transparent purple Gameboy Colour on a big raffle my school was doing for charity and it came with a gift card that had enough on it for a game. My dad took me to Macros to buy a game, but he's also an absolute asshole and refused to let me have any game I picked up because he decided they were too "male" for me. Then I saw Pokemon Yellow. He saw cute Pikachu on the box, asked me what it was about and I told him it was a pet game. He didn't look into it further.
After that I was hooked and my mum would try to get me the new game every time one came out, like we were so poor she would take out a loan at Christmas just to get us things. When Black and White came out I was earning my own income to buy them myself so I took it from there. I still have every single game, including my Gameboy Colour and my original Pokemon Yellow. Only one I don't have is green.

Honestly, my favorite had to be Zangoose. I love that Pokémon and it's shiny. Though, two of your Pokémon are also some of my least favorites of all time (Delphox and Blastoise) so competition wasn't too big

Im still on my shiny badge quest in X too. I was lucky to get Fenniken under 1000 resets. But it ended up biting me in the butt and I was resetting for Bulbasuar for almost a year instead. Havent touched the game since badge 4. I need to finish my quest eventually

@Oshawaves I actually found my 3ds! So rn we got Delphox, Venasur, Nidoking and Peliper as the current team. I can't remember the teams nicknames other than Salem for Delphox and Gia for Venasur. I'll have to charge it up to get the rest of the names. Last I remember was doing srs for a shiny in the desert area like what you did for Dugtrio.

The odds of getting one full odds pokemon are 1/4096. But since you encounter 5 at once, it'd be easier to say it's 5/4096. The first Durant was shiny, then there was two in between the other shiny. Specifically, your odds to get that specific combo was a 0.000000596% chance, or 1 in 16 million. In general, if you dont care about the order it was in, it would've been about a flat 1/671000 chance. They were both girls, so if you wanna add that 50% in you could :P
I ended up encountering a shiny honedge on my y playthrough without even trying. just randomly ran into it once. xD

This is because the replayability isn't in the world itself, but the mechanics of the environment and how characters interact with each other. This is something ScVi severely lack. There is no environmental storytelling, no environmental structure, no environmental interaction. Meanwhile, all characters are the same, there is no individuality, especially among the pokemon themselves.
ScVi lack one last major thing that successful open worlds have, and that would be the large lack or interactions per area. Everything is spaced out and too sparse.
My first ever shiny was a shiny Durant from a bush encounter in Pokemon X unfortunately I deleted that file a long time ago, but I’m working on getting back to that route so I can reclaim it in a shiny only play through I’m doing my self but I’m currently stuck on the gift lapras, I’ve been talking to the breeder for 100 hours maybe more at this point
