I just tried my U2-X, for some reason my car is not recognizing it but my phone does. I'm going to purchase the U2-Air like the tech-support suggested.
Had a similar issue with it in certain cars, usually in those with button/dials instead of touch. I had to upgrade the firmware before it worked on those
This does not offer any apps, just converts your wired Car Play or Android Auto connection into a wireless one. Not sure if it's still applicable, but for AA you can check out a video I made showing how you can run some 3rd party apps: ruclips.net/video/UIoUXbyvkdU/видео.html
@@eightbitJuan I checked out the XDA program and it doesn't appear to be working based on the reading of the most current posts. Would you be aware of a DIY project using a raspberry pi to make the equivalent of a "Ottocast" box? A raspberry pi would offer both USB for the connection to the Car screen just like a cell phone connects but with WiFi from the phone to the rapsberry pi. With the right software it might offer more app compatibility like youtube and more. Have you heard of such a project?
Awesome video Thank You! Hello, I have a 2018 Porsche with wired apple carplay. However; I am a Android guy who owns a Note 20 Ultra 5g. Will the Ottocast U2-X provide me with wireless AA even though my car only has carplay installed. Or does it only make wired AA and CP wireless?
@@eightbitJuan I don't understand what you are saying. My car only has CP installed. I want AA. Will this give my car AA? Or does AA have to be already installed to make it wireless?
@@Eddy-iv3qv I got the chance to actually test this exact scenario. On a Toyota Camry that only had Carplay, I was able to connect Android auto wirelessly. I was on the latest firmware, but I'm not sure if that made a difference or not
@@eightbitJuan Thanks Juan, I ordered an Ottocast U2-X Wireless. it should arrive tomorrow. I will let you know how the installation is going and if I need any help.

@@eightbitJuan Thanks Brother, I'll try that before getting the U2-Air. Happy New Year!
Are you interested in testing the latest Carlinkit products - Carlinkit Ai Box Max, Android 12.0, 8+128G?
Yes. I've been looking into AI boxes very recently actually.
You can find my email in my channel description.
Does this work on stock car screens and does it offer video apps like youtube and more to work?

I actually did try this out when I first got it.
Unfortunately it only does the latter

Only makes what you have wireless
