    Loved the video. The water is super clear there. I am a disabled veteran and I am excited to be able to get up there and hook into some fish. My wife's family live in eastern PA and NYC. Big thanks to New Jersey DNR for making it somewhat affordable to fish there. I wish they offered veterans a little discount. For me to fish trout I think it is $30 for the fishing license and $20 to fish trout. It is hard for a lot of the rest of the country to afford New Jersey prices especially when you add everything up.

    Who the hell taught you how to handle trout smh everyone of those trout are injured or dead...get a net keep them in the water and if you have to handle yhem get your hand wet or better yet use a tailing glove you might as well have kept them and holding even a small laker vertical like that can inflate the swim bladder...pitiful

    Happy you let him go, I think the golden one is a trout that was native to some lakes out west, very limited range, and then they stocked it elsewhere, and maybe hybridized it, no matter, it is an individual that there aren't too many in existence in the world. And the whole thing takes place in, where? New Jersey!!!!! Thank you for respecting life and setting a good example! Lavya

    Can you please make a little review video with all the tackle you use for trouts (keitechs, jig heads, eggs, worms, spinners, (brands/colors that work for you?) like you did for the reels? Being a non english native speaker, I really like when you put the product link so i can check the product out. Maybe you can show the fishing setup you are using in more detail in some videos since its hard to know if you are using split shots or just fishing straight, etc.... This is not a troll.
    When you cut the line short that is coming out of a fishes mouth, you do more damage than good.
    Years ago , bass masters found that a short cut line interfered with the fishes ability to eat( it blocked the throat to some extent.
    The advice they gave was to leave a longer leader hanging out of the fish , and the line would trail behind the fish and not interfere with the feeding process as much as a short leader in its throat. I'm 63 and have fished almost every piece of water in Jersey, yeah even salt water. I haven't fished Monksville yet. Well that's what I heard😊👍🏻
    Oh yeah, GET A NET !
    And I make some beautiful powder coated and baked in the oven for 45 mins. the heat lays that powder coat better than any dip or spray paint. It's not messey and the colors are amazing. Some have high UV additives and the colors POP.
    So many colors. And you pick your own jigheads out. I use premium jig heads and very good powdercoat. 1/64- whatever 8oz's if you want them. GET A NET !

      +Scott Wood for walleye yea itd prob be good. Its got a very light tip so it gives the fish a lot of play when they pull back. These rods are mainly used for salmon/trout as typically you have to use very light leaders/line and a shorter stouter rod will often pull the hook

    Hey man ik this video is a couple years old and I don't watch ur channel but you've got to take better care of those fish destined for release! I dont know if ur better now but cant be bothered checking. I'd recommend getting a net, keeping them in the water, using single hooks instead of trebles and holding them properly not by the gills/ gill plates. Those fish you released have a much greater chance of dying than if you looked after them. Respect the fish for playing the game bro! Anyway nice video otherwise

      Mike Caruso Whew! Finally a Sea Money video that won't have me spending hours on Google Earth trying to triangulate his spot using landmarks in the background. I could have lived my whole life an hour away and never even heard of Round Valley. Now, I'm planning a trip up for the warm up days next week. Now I am the kind of angler who is strictly C&R and handles fish with great care. I also actually PICK UP garbage at spots rather than leaving it. Now if only the other TENS OF THOUSANDS of Sea$ subscribers were as considerate... Then I wouldnt understand why he won't just tell us his spots. That Reservoir will be empty (of fish) within a year. Watch.

    • @fett2002
      @fett2002 7 лет назад +1

      I get it with some spots but, like I said, Round Valley isn't exactly some hidden secret spot. And does it matter if people leave their garbage at some known spot as opposed to some secret spot? I never get why people mention that. Is it better if they left garbage in other spots? I try to pick up garbage too. Also, Round Valley stocks trout every year BTW. You're acting like it's some pond in the middle of nowhere.

      Mike Caruso
      Mike Caruso
      Garbage sucks anywhere. Maybe I'm a bit jaded being from NYC. I see way too much foul shit go down at spots on L.I., Jersey Shore, etc. People being slobs, keeping shorts, out of season fish, etc. It sucks. I have actually given people a sawbuck on more than one occasion to go buy fish at the market if they put back the Largemouth they planned on keeping at a C&R only lake. Have done this also with short Stripers and Fluke. Look, I'm no crusader, I just get and support guys (especially guys with huge subscriber bases) keeping their spots on the DL. If someone really wants to find a spot from a video it is usually do-able with some investigating. I can't tell you how many hours I spend on Google Earth trying to (and often succeeding) find these honey holes. For me it has actually become a major part of the angling experience. Before a fishing roadtrip I will spend days or weeks researching spots; finding shoreline access points, downloading depth maps/charts, acquiring licenses, using 'Street View' to zoom in on parking signs for safe parking spots, and watching videos of other people fishing said spot. Many times I locate entirely new spots doing this. Now I'm not saying that everybody should have to do that in lieu of a RUclipsr just giving you the spot. But if they are secretive about the spot, a little hard work and time will usually pay off. And then I get there a week after the bite has died down. Lol... Tight lines all!

    • @fett2002
      @fett2002 7 лет назад +1

      For Reel For Real, I get it. And I agree, it's a fun part of the experience. I can't stand the slobs and harvesters either. All I meant about this Sea Money video is he more or less mentions the spot on instagram (at least, to me it was) so I was surprised he didn't say it on here. Strangely, with discovering spots, I always do decent on that when I go away for work for weeks at a time. It's more rewarding too for sure. Tight lines!
