Rajivji has been a great ambassador for dharma
Whatever he says is a product of 40 years of distillation of vast, scattered hindu concepts in mostly abstract realm, in nontranslatable words of sanskrit, resulting in a perfect single malt of truth
Sadly we have tons of toxic moonshine in the form of bad translations out in the ether by lowlifes, for material benifits, totally ignoring the purpose and salience of transmission of this knowledge across generations
Rajivji is one of the last candles saving the flame of eternal truth
Remembering all those who saved this knowledge in the face of millenia of death destruction and Genocides

Arranged marriages worked in India because there is very little hidden or repulsive about other persons charcter.
Everyone followed Brahmacharya till 25, there was no toxic modern day feminism, no hook up culture, no promiscuous behaviour and no confusion with your gender itself. Being practising Hindu your goals are much higher than materialistic goods available. Your commitment is alleviation of yourself, ppl around you and whole community.
Also someone following Sanatan dharma has some baseline qualities in them as listed by Rajiv ji which already make the person almost compatible with you.
    Har har Mahadev🚩

Firstly, Hinduism places a strong emphasis on individual autonomy and free will. The idea of karma, which is central to Hindu philosophy, suggests that individuals are responsible for their own actions and their own destinies. Therefore, it is believed that every person should be allowed to make their own choices, including the choice of whom to marry. Arranged marriages, on the other hand, often involve coercion or pressure from family members or other external factors, which can undermine the individual's free will.
Secondly, Hinduism places great importance on the concept of dharma, which can be loosely translated as "duty" or "righteousness". According to Hindu beliefs, individuals have a duty to fulfill their social and familial obligations, but this duty should not come at the expense of their own happiness or well-being. Arranged marriages, which often prioritize family obligations and social status over individual happiness and compatibility, can be seen as a violation of this principle.
Thirdly, Hinduism is a religion that celebrates love, devotion, and spiritual connection. The concept of bhakti, or devotional love, is central to Hindu worship, and it is believed that true love and devotion can lead to a deep and meaningful connection with the divine. Arranged marriages, which are often based on practical considerations such as social status or financial stability, can undermine this ideal and rob individuals of the opportunity to experience true love and connection.
Lastly, Hinduism values diversity and individuality, and recognizes that every individual is unique and has their own strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. Arranged marriages, which often involve matching individuals based on external factors such as caste, can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and social hierarchies, and can lead to discrimination and prejudice against certain groups.
In conclusion, Hinduism is a religion that celebrates individual autonomy, free will, and spiritual connection, and it is therefore not compatible with the practice of arranged marriages. By encouraging individuals to make their own choices, based on their own preferences and desires, Hinduism promotes healthy and fulfilling relationships that are based on mutual respect, love, and spiritual connection

Sri Rajiv's explanation of the involution of spirit in matter was beautiful and reminiscent of Sri Aurobindo's Integral Yoga, as also the Upanishads which -- through the analogy of the spider creating the web from itself, illustrate how God is both Maker and made.
Also, his input on the evolution of the current caste-system as a brainchild of British social engineering, was brilliant. Kudos to Mr. Saad for his intelligent questioning.
While talking of the side effects of Karma doctrine as one that could breed complacency among Hindus, I wish he had dilated upon how Karma doctrine when properly understood could also galvanise Hindus to dynamic right action in the present life itself, since no Hindu would want to inherit a socially, politically and environmentally messed-up world in his next birth or reincarnation.
One thing Sri Rajiv has not touched upon in his book 'Snakes in the Ganga' and begs a response is this: Is veganism a Woke movement to dismantle Indian vegetarianism (aka lacto-vegetarianism) and Ayurveda? I ask this because vegans look at the equation between humans and animals as one that prevails between oppressor and oppressed classes.

The biggest difference between Prophetic religion and Sanatan dharma is... there's no Blasphemy in Hinduism...as a matter of fact in Patanjali Yoga Sutra Chapter 1 verse 24 states:
Klesa Karma Vipaka Asayaih Aparmrstah Purusavisesah Isvara
    God is that
PurushVishesha -Special Self untouched of (Virgin-free from) Affliction (of 5 types), Karma (of 4 types), Vipaka- (Attachment to fruit of actions) & Ashaya (Latent impressions of desires, opinions, Samskara, mind conditioning inherited through DNA etc. aggregate nature/values).
The entire vision of human life and the outlook for living that life is different in the Sanatan Hindu Dharma!
It is not a belief it's an expression derived from self experience!

Regarding the comments on the Kerala Jews from the speakers, I'd refer you to Harry Ostrer's book "Legacy: A genetic history of the Jewish People". The author says that the Cochin Jews are mitochondrially (haplogroup) closer to that found in the surrounding local population, suggesting a local origin while containing certain lineages from non Ashkenazi Jewish communities. Itinerant traders creating local offspring perhaps?

What a delightful conversation. Rajiv is a intellectual giant and I am always glad to hear his thoughts. Hope that the two of them can combine forces to make a positive impact across a more broader swath of humanity.

Great conversation! I got the book for myself ( just got through the introduction) and presented one each for my nephew and niece who are in Science/ technology fields but none the less influenced by the leftist ideologies at Ivy leagues. Hoping that this book opens their eyes.. and they become aware of the dhaarmic views - not the left-right garbage..
By the way, did the professor mispronounce Rajiv ji's name @52:56?

    गीता में यज्ञ को लेकर विस्तार से परम तक का विवरण है।
    यज्ञ का फल
    चुनावों, सभाओं, पूजाओं, आरतियों, भोजन, दान;
    इन सबको मिलाकर, इनसे कहीं अधिक है।
    यज्ञों में "ब्रह्मयज्ञ" यानी "पारसमणि"।
    हम मनुष्यों की पारसमणि से क्या कम हैं?
    और अगर हैं भी तो हम मणि बन जाएंगे।
    भारतभूमि को हम स्वर्ग बनाएंगे।
    तुम देख लेना।

Honestly it has been close to 2 years since I watched bollywood movie. My list of top reasons why I stopped watching bollywood:
    1. They never make movies about Indian Culture and always try to degrade Indians and Hindus
    2. Always tries to whitewash acts done by pak and tries to potray terrorists as good people
    3. Gets funding from mafia and gives the profits back to mafia which fund antiIndian agenda and terrorism
    4. No good Storyline and always makes 2nd grade Remakes
    5. Makes Stereotypes about Everyone and Everything
    6. Full scale nepotism and also does not give chance to New people
    7. Glorifies islamic culture even though for a majority of Indians, it is a sign of oppression
    8. Replaces Hindi words with urdu words
Atleast for me, bollywood is not a soft power of India but a soft power of pakistan
