@jonpendragon2066 What’s the purpose of being negative? It’s not silencing people, this channel isn’t for people who want criticize for the purpose of being negative. Especially for an innocent woman who isn’t doing anything wrong. Since people have the freedom to choose what they want to watch here on RUclips, then I suggest they find another channel that suits them.

Yes she must have been sweet when she was younger. I just helped the lady who lives by herself on the corner she is just about blind. Can use one button on microwave. It's rough. She is rough. Granny isn't telling us all about every ailment she has, side effect, what her Dr said, what her kid isn't doing. It is enjoyable to listen to this lovely lady talk. Makes you want to go visit. ! I told my son if I do that when I am older talk about everything wrong with me
Call me out on that shit. Friend s are important be nice to your neice and nephews. I worry about the other interesting older people were missing out on that are lonely.

    🌷🕊️🌿HI G. Pat!
I LOVED your stories today!!! We had cherry trees, grapevines, apple trees, and peach trees. Of course we kids took turns mowing the yard and it was never fun pushing that mower through the rotten peaches on the ground.
Dad put in a garden for mom and there is no comparison to the foods today. Back then food had so much better flavor. My job was to plant the sweet corn 🌽 and dad gave me a stick to make sure I planted the seeds the right distance.
    Dad planted everything.
I can’t understand people being hateful or critical of ANYTHING you have posted! Usually people who are like that are miserable in themselves and must attack others to make themselves feel better. Pat, just ignore them,OK? Keep being the loving and kind person you are. There’s NOTHING wrong with the way you prepare food. My mom was the same way and she was an excellent cook.
The word for lunch/supper? We have a word for that…we call it “LUPPER”. 😄 I hope you like it.
Have a blessed wonderful day G Pat.

This is Kitty I live in S. California. I discovered your channel a week or so ago. I forget which video but you were in the kitchen. My mother in law was from Lakeland Florida and I miss her voice. Your accent is similar and that’s what I heard at first. In the kitchen you remind me of my grandmother with whom I spent many hours in the kitchen with. I am 77 now. A widow since 2019 after 50 plus years together. I was his caregiver for decades. It occurred to me that at least in my world out here on the West coast life seems isolating. I too talk to myself. I read that it is good for your brain. I also love dishes and setting the table. I have what they call “poorman’s fiesta” called Harlequin made by the same company.
Summers as a child I’d spend a time at my grandmother’s house near Atlantic City NJ. Her house had a front porch and we would have breakfast out there. My grandmother would put our soft boiled eggs in the Easter egg color Harlequin sugar bowls. Clever. The bowls must have come out in the 20’s as they were very Art Deco looking to me with triangular shaped handles and lid top. As I write I realize it must have been around the time she passed away I started to think of those things we ate the soft boiled eggs in and oddly enough that very year they reissued them. I wanted the original ones and began hunting for them and that started my collecting other dishes and china. I love dishes and ceramic things. p.sl. I got a felt skirt with. S& H green stamps. I wanted a poodle but mine had a xylophone on it. Mother got various things with them. I was the one who pasted them in the books. 😊 Cheers kitty

Yes!! There was a Woolworth’s on Main Street in Pleasantville, NJ a few blocks from my gramma’s. I’m sure she purchased the Harlequin there. You remind me of her also. You’re so Artistic as was she. She was born in 1900 and my maternal gramma 1896. I enjoyed your videos with your shadowboxes and jewelry trees. I really want to make one of the trees. I love the story about the little Jadeite ginger jar. Those “coincidences” like the one with the cookbook you found at the Goodwill? that turned out to be an old neighbor are just magical. And I’m sure you’ve had a lot of other ones like that. I went back to school in my 40s. I had 3 boys, two of which were twins. They turned 51 last week!!! Anyway, I guess I’m a closet writer but your background is so much more interesting mostly because of the region you’re from and the amazing story of your mother raising all those children and her backstory. Right now it’s a lazy Saturday and I see your scrumptious potato salad in the trifle bowl on the screen ….tantalizing.😊❤️kitty p.s. I love, love, love your china and glassware AND your flower arrangements. I think you should do an episode on flower arranging and give some tips as not everyone can do that. Yours look so real.

Hi Granny Pat. It makes me sad that anyone would be hurtful to you. You are so sweet. You can always block the person too. I bet Jan can show how because some people these days are mean as a sport. I think in the days before social media they would be labeled bullies.
I love your stories and I have learned a lot from you. I learned a lot from you today. Your childhood sounds like heaven. You are perfect just the way you are. I am delighted that know that you live in such a beautiful place. That tree outside you window is magical. I have never seen anything like that.

When someone is cruel in their comments, that's really about them, about who they are and how critical they are of others around them. But mostly they are critical of themselves and find it impossible to make room in the world for others' happiness. Let's pray for them.

    Granny Pat,
Just when I thought I couldn't love you more, You say something that I need to hear...Some folks will understand exactly what I mean by that. I believe that some folks can be downright rude, and intentionally unkind. Some don't even realize that they are being unkind. But I couldn't have done a better job at expressing that, than you just did. You are such a classy sweet southern gal.
I sometimes think that communicating with love, has fallen out of popularity these days. I love how you said what you needed to say without the use of anger or poor taste. You, my sweet friend are the peace and gentleness that has become a lost art in this mean ol world, todsy. Its so nice to be gently reminded that we can always find a positive way to disagree, if need be. It was not necessarily what you said, as the way it was received. I sincerely hope that others will appreciate it as much as I did. You most certainly are not mean, or hurtful in any way shape or form. I believe there will always be someone out there who likes to self appoint themselves as the authority of just about anything they feel the need to interject on. Please, do not pay them any mind. Pray for them. They may need it. I will say this, I really enjoyed listening to your stories today. It was just what I needed after cooking my supper and cleaning up. You're a breath of fresh air, always. I hope you do become discovered by someone who will have you on their talk show. I believe you would be a lovely candidate for this. One can always hope, like you say, even if it is just dreaming today, tomorrow isn't here yet, so fingers crossed indeed! 😉 ❤
Now, I wanted to include a comment that brought me to your channel today in the first place...
I do not recall the title of the video you had done a while back, but you had told the story of when you were first married and you made spaghetti for your guests. I made spaghetti tonight also, and in the very moment I drained my pasta, my strainer went sideways on me, and I lost half of it in my sink...Well, the very first thought I had, was that video you had made...And I want to let you know, ever since I saw that video, i make sure my sink is very clean, just in case I fumble and lose my pasta, I know it's okay to make the best of what I've spilled. I am laughing because I thought to myself, I am not the only one who's done that!
Im sorry my message was so long, but I had to tell you about my spaghetti mishap! 🍝 Yes ma'am, I immediately thought of you!😊😊😊
I love you Granny Pat! ❤

@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 Yes, it's not the first time I've lost control of my pasta while I was in the process of draining it...Those noodles are so scalding hot and slippery, that it seems to happen before you even know it!
My heavens, 2 pounds of pasta is HEAVY for me!
But, I didn't cuss or fuss, I just got the giggling when it happened, because I knew that if it's gonna happen to someone, it will probably be me, hahaha 😆 And to no surprise, it most certainly was!
You know, because of that video, I now make sure that I always have my sink cleaned very thoroughly before I drain pasta, like yours was - Just in case, because I am such a clutz!
(I'm not saying that you are a clutz, But I most certainly am).
It feels good to laugh rather than cry over spilled milk, or in my case, pasta! 😆 I wanna listen to that story now.. I will have to find it in your list of videos, and when I do find the title, I will let you know! ♡
I loved the beautiful chandelier and the art works in the sitting area, thank you for sharing.
I miss doing puzzles. My eyesight isn't what it once was. I remember one of the most challenging puzzles I done, was a jar of jellybeans! I was much younger then!
Sorry I am jabbering endlessly. At night my anxiety gets bad. I fixed myself a hot cup of lemon zinger tea, and I put some fresh sliced ginger and honey too. I'm going to try to find the video, and relax.
I hope you have a peaceful night and restful sleep.

I absolutely LOVE YOUR STORIES!! Ignore the Haters!! We call them the Internet Police, and they Are so Bored with real life, that All they have to do is look at their phones and Criticize!!! Many people, including me, Absolutely LOVE YOU, YOUR STORIES, RECIPES, etc. I’m 73, grew up eating dirt as a child, ate my grandmother’s cooking, where she tasted with the same spoon she stirred with, drank water out of an outside spigot, ate Watermelon outside, with nats, dogs, dirt and other varmits, and I’m healthy, happy, alive and well ( retired), so HATERS: BACK OFF AND HONESTLY, GO TO HELL!! Dear Granny Pat, I know I’m commenting on a video from eight days ago, but I must. Please don’t remember that those who criticize irrelevant details in your kitchen videos, such as sanitary practices and food handling are people who *are decidedly not* your loyal followers. When you try to remind us that we keep insisting on cooking videos (which we enthusiastically do!), we are not the ones then nitpicking at silly details. Those who post such comments are not even subscribers, I bet. So again, ignore, ignore, ignore. Please don’t let them affect our fun, and by golly do not let their comments alter your natural, homey approach in the kitchen. We don’t need another Martha, Julia or Rachel. You are not in a restaurant kitchen serving the public, you are at home. People critiquing are ridiculous and need to move along! Now back to more Granny Pat content and yes, “finger lickin’ good” cooking.

It sounds like a good idea to tell about my mother’s old-fashioned ways, but if you recall, we were too busy being teenagers to want to watch our mothers make kraut and can tomatoes and beans. I can name a few home remedies but I never watched my mother concoct the remedies. In fact, I would hide under the bed to keep from having to take them. My memory isn’t as good as it used to be.

Great stories as always! My dad grew up on a farm in Wisconsin, and he had gooseberries there and once in a while would ask my mom to make a gooseberry pie. I never tried it. It didn't appeal to me. But we grew those grapes that you pinched the skin and popped the inside into your mouth. Gooood! We grew raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, musk melon or cantaloupe, watermelons, potatoes, peas, green onions, tomatoes, corn, beets, green beans, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, parsnips. My mother would do a lot of canning in the summer. Then in the fall, we would go to some orchards and pick apples and peaches and freeze them. Now I know why I don't like cherries! Worms, yuk! 😄 Don't let it bother you when those people criticize you. It just makes them feel superior to think they know better. I have always loved puzzles. My parents would get them out in the winter. I did frame a couple of Christmas puzzles that I wanted to keep. They look real nice framed. Your apartment building looks real nice. Love the decor!
