This is a real story that happened to two guys. They went on vacation to a lake and wanted a good rest from the bustle of the city.
There were snags sticking out of the lake, but they had no idea what they were pouring into the lake for many years. Various chemical waste has turned a small beetle into a huge monster that feeds on flesh.

A freaking masterpiece!
One single frame frozen in time, worthy of an entire movie scene.
How Much For That Diorama?
How do you keep resin from sticking to the sides of the plastic panels you put around the diorama when u pour in the whole resin?
какую смолу вы используете для такой обьемой заливки? подскажите
How do you manage to fill that volume with one pour????
17:08 the transition from a hype summer pop music to a muffled, underwater like sound with an eerie undertone is just genius

The amount of environmental storytelling expressed through your builds, especially the horror-themed ones, is amazing. Can’t wait to see what you create next!
The environmental storytelling is my FAV part. Idk it just gets me excited about the entire piece as a whole ^-^
There's a big difference between telling the truth ,and telling a story, or telling a lie ,am I right 🤨
@@thomaslyles5620 obviously yeah
Что?
HONESTLY the subtle worldbuilding is amazing
There's a whole story beyond this build, which you've told absolutely brilliantly and without a single word. So beautiful.❤
Production, sound, visuals, skill, artistry, the whole thing end to end is my favorite project to experience here… awesome.
When I saw it had eggs, the whole thing instantly leveled up for me. Also, loved the toxic waste barrels, great visual storytelling💯
Yes, and ready to hatch too!!! @@
This is true art. This diorama tells the story without any words.
Also I love the moment, when music changed from happy to scary at 17:10, when this terrifying creature is fully revealed!

Plot twist, Jimmy actually rescued this monster when it was a baby on a summer camping trip at this lake many many years ago when he was a boy, and they formed a close relationship. Now, every summer, Jimmy still comes to camp at the lake to see his old friend and they reunite as old pals for every stay.
The amount of work put into every little detail is mesmerizing! I’d love to get into creating dioramas but don’t even know where to begin without any of this kind of equipment.
You start small. You try out techniques, find out what you're comfortable with, and bit by bit, build up your skill and experience. Always start small. A single critter on a wood log, a pre-printed figure below a tree, ...
There's plenty of cheap materials that you can use to create your own flocking etc if you don't want to invest too much into the hobby, and super rewarding results you can get with them. Cork boards make for excellent pebbles and rocks, for example, and great flocking when grind to smaller pieces. Oregano makes for great leaves. PVA glue is one of the must haves and is available everywhere.
Start slow, start small, and be kind to yourself. Always keep an open mind, and just go for it! :)
the thing i’m most impressed by is the modeling of the beetle. that level of detail is so hard to make happen with any modeling software. it probably took hours to design, and it shows very well the effort you put into these things
I was gonna comment this. When the print was finished and painted, my jaw hit the floor. That level of detail work in a 3d model is an entirely separate form of art, and they appear to have mastered it lol
Repent to Jesus Christ

2 years later and still my favorite you've ever done !
I was flat-out mesmerized watching this, & I am astonished at the ability to make something like that. I'm not kidding when I say it is incredible. That is genuine talent.
Coming across this just made my entire night, maybe my week. My late husband used to build really detailed diorama’s and scenes like this and I used to just love to sit and watch how brilliant of an artist he was. This reminded me of his work so very much and with the music it felt so much like I was sitting with my guy and watching him do the things he loved. I’m so impressed with your work.
I am very sorry for your loss. I hope your husband rests in peace.🌹😢
Even if it was that’s. Sorta, rude to say man

What an amazing story this build tells. I'm blown away!
I especially love these dioramas which have a very care-free, chill vibe from one perspective and then a total nightmare fuel from another perspective.
Love how you don’t commentate on your work, describing the detail or the creature, but when it comes to the printer, you basically bombard us with everything good about it
That's because they're promoting the printer, they have a kickstarter linked to it in the info box.

@@jaoulzn well maybe not to you my friend 🤷🏻♀️
Cool concept and it looks great! Torn between the old school method of clay, foil, wire and sculpting against CAD designed and 3D printed..
With 3D printing it is easier to do really small stuff
If you take a hard stance on prioritizing skill when it comes to art (which is absolutely fine) you should take my viewpoint into consideration; Treat any technology that makes creation easier like a Photoshop Plugin. Plug-ins are a great tool, but should only be used to save time. If you can do what the plug-in can, then I feel plug-ins absolutely don't reduce the amount of skill it takes to create. This mindset scales very well to many things.
As such... We've all seen Minibrick's has the technical skill to do clay/foil/wires - 3D printing just saves time.
@@cyciumx They are simply different skills. Its like trying to say airbrushing isnt as skillful as hand painting a miniature. Learning how to create a detailed and interesting model on a computer is no different than learning how to do the same with clay, just different mediums.
Sure, it's 3D printed, but it's clearly shown that effort is still put into the actual design of the creature. It's a bit like a Traditional vs Digital art comparison. The 3D printer saves a bit of time in theory, but it's just another medium with effort still put into it.
idk how anyone could watch that timelapse of her sculpting the model and not recognize it's a skill (like every other art medium)
This isn't scary, this is cute! A good mama beetle finding food for her soon to hatch beetle babies. Entirely wholesome!
Minibricks,, you are amazing. The attention to detail, the story telling is mind-blowing! Thank you for sharing!
Seems like Jimmy never learned his lesson from the time he spent at the pool.
Or it fits with the idea that jimmy is the monster and went back looking for more.
Jimmy is friends with monsters
Jimmy is a weird guy
jimmy is just visiting his great aunt beatrice
they had a wonderful time together
jimmy learnt she just had some kids
Billy (Jimmy's older Brother) is just relaxing. Not caring about Jimmy or anything else. Instead of reading comic books downstairs like when he was a kid, he just wants to get tan outside. Jimmy however has not learned his lesson from when he was a little kid.

I haven't really seen a diorama built like this before. I must confess that it's probably my mere ignorance on the methods of creation. I really appreciated this. Given that the beetle is holding one of the campers up for a sweet jump into the water, my headcanon is that she is friendly and just looks kind of scary.
