Only go aftermarket. Id recommend BE Bearings, and ARP bolts.. people use acl bearings aswell, but the bmw shop i did it at has used BE and never had any issues. I’ve driven it real hard on the track back to back 12 times in a day and shes running strong. Just make sure while youre in there do you high pressure vanos line, and motor mounts + oil level sensor.. should cost like 3k-4k to do it all
@@jakesantangelo4 make sure they’ve done many of these same projects. Choosing the wrong shop will cost you 10k for a new motor plus what you paid them to get it done.
E39 m5 is definitely legendary, drove a 700hp supercharged one. Was an insane experience. Its a whole different platform i would definitely own someday along with the e60 😁
