    Thanks for the tour! It was informative and thanks for showing when while the slide out is in and how functional it can be while traveling. I agree with your parents RV, same with mine, you can’t even open the bathroom door unless you slide out about 6” to get in to use the bathroom on the road. I am beyond impressed with Winnebago’s design. Again, thanks for sharing. I would like to see you FJ hooked to it, etc.

    Great tour! I've just started researching and didn't realize Winnebago made anything but huge RVs. I've got a 2008 FJ and usually tent camp. :-) Heading off to their site to locate a dealer to see it in person. Thanks!

    I prefer, no sideouts which can leak and get stuck.
    Fridge with separate freezer.
    Recessed stove and sink for more flat space and easy clean up.
    Murphy Bed with couch.
    Sonic Lite, Coachman Classic.
    Like 2900 to 3100 lbs.
    Cheers and cool video.

    It is both. You can run it either way you want to. It also has an auto detect feature. If you lose shore power it will automatically switch to the propane.

    They put the vent controls where they did, so they can be used to pull heat out when cooking. That's why the door has a big gap at the top. At least that's what my salesman said when I bought mine. Seemed like a sound theory to me...

    The class C I recently sold also had limited power plugs. It was equipped by the previous owner with a cheap surge strip capable of powering your electric accessories, coffee pot, all at once.

    Check the tank sizes compared to Rpod 180...that was the deciding factor for us...along with window in door, flush mounted stainless steel sink, flush mounted stove & suspension lift & all terrains.

    Does that dinette table drop down to make a bed? Looks like it could work well as a big comfy couch by just adding some cushions to the back.

    we have several questions about the winnie drop. we purchased exact model. how do you manually close the slide out? how should the battery-electric power switch in the storage space be turned to switch to electric power only? thanks

    People give me some advice. How does this Mini Drop 170 stack up against the Jayco hummingbird 17 RB? What is the difference in quality in the construction and materials used? I do really like the fact that the Mini Drop has a full sized bathroom!

    Love your video! I live in south Georgia in a "little town." I went to UGA(go DAWGS), but I worked for Auburn University Extension Service one time, so I love Auburn, too! I'm 60 y/o and single...dreaming of a full-time RV life. (Need to sell my house first). I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2WD/4.7L, V-8, with a max towing capacity of 7400 lbs. (it's bigger than the newer Jeeps)....has about 106K miles on it, but runs great.
    Question: do you think I could safely pull one of these Winnie Drops with my Jeep...even though it's a 2WD? I'd love to buy a 4 x 4 truck, but it's not in the budget right now.
    Also...any other comments(like or dislikes)...now that you've broken in your camper? What dealer did you use...and were you happy with them(Price/service/etc.)? Any info. would be greatly appreciated!!

    • @williamdh07
      @williamdh07  7 лет назад +3

      You shouldn't have a problem pulling a Winnebago Mini Drop, especially since their dry weight is only 2,800 pounds and their max rating is 3,800 pounds. Even though my FJ is 4 wheel drive I don't use it in 4 wheel drive to tow this camper. I got my Camper from Bama Rv in Dothan Al, and they are very friendly people. It is a very low pressure atmosphere, they are not just trying to make numbers. I plan on doing a video soon to address a lot of these questions. Thanks for the support.

    • @williamdh07
      @williamdh07  7 лет назад

      If by Pop Out you mean the slide out, there is a switch that you use that takes it in and out. I'm not sure what you mean by can you get an ac. This has a low profile ac unit.

    At its so nice I'd love to have 1 with some solar panels a generator a 20 gallon water barrel with a water pump a gas tank I could camp my way through dessert areas take brakes in the boondox I'd put some gazebo screen nets down the sides of the owaning roof extension by the door a projector in the window on the table a screen to project on down the owning some camper chairs by the door

    Just be aware with one axle, a single flat tire means you're immediately on the side of the road changing it.

    • @Jpeterson7
      @Jpeterson7 5 лет назад

      All drop-type mini's have just one Axle.
