    Thanks for the information. When posting the tests, I’m a bit worried they won’t be processed in time to receive my negative status suitable for flying, especially since I’ll be travelling after Christmas and around the new year. Is there an option to just upload a photo of the test for randox rather than physically deliver them? It seems very counterintuitive having to isolate for 10 days to have to leave the house on day 2 and 8 to post them off…

    Ta for the video. I don't travel to London until 2nd October and I'm hoping either the US will be on the green list by then or a travel corridor will be open, but I think with the way things are going with the Delta variant, neither will happen by then. I plan to take a PCR Rapid Test at the airport on the day of my departure. I wish I could order the day 2 and 8 tests to be delivered here and take them with me but I know that's not possible. The price you got for the Test & Release test is a bit less than what I've found. Boots offers them for £85 which I'll probably go with.

    • @AutopilotAviation
      @AutopilotAviation  3 года назад

      hello some providers might ship internationally for an extra cost, its worth looking around. By October i am hoping they will extend the new no quarantine if you are fully vaccinated to those who are fully vaccinated by a WHO country, but that is not guaranteed. For the test to release, randox offer it for £48 or use code BritishAirways43 to get it for £43. I hope this helps. I think and hoping things will be different by then.

      I wouldn't count on it if the handful of states with the increasing infection rates continue on their paths in refusing to get vaccinated. The hospitalization rates for those not vaccinated are 97% of all COVID hospitalizations. Check out this testing company. Just paid 90 GBP for 2 & 8 day tests and 50 for 5-day test-to-release test. Postage was 35. So pretty steep considering what we pay in the US. 0044covidtest.com/

      Hello, this should be 3 days before boarding. see this from the link below:

      For example, if you travel directly to England on Friday, you can take the test on or after Tuesday and will need to have the negative result available before boarding on Friday.

I was under the impression I had to get a test done 48 hours before leaving, then do a day 2 and day 8 test while there! But it seems from your video that I just need to do a test 48 hours before leaving for Marbella, Spain. Then do another test 48 hours before coming back to the UK? Hi, my wife and I are US citizens living in Maryland, planning to visit England arriving Aug 4 on United for six weeks. We do not have a home or friends in England. My prelim research shows that the least hassle approach might be to do the Test to Release, stay/quarantine in the Hilton Garden Inn in LHR Terminal 2, and do on-site testing in Terminal 2 on Day Zero (legal according to Collinson) and Day 5 with Collison. Leave on Day 5 or 6 after neg result, and drop off a Day 8 test or get an in-person test at the Midlands Airport Collinson facility. Expensive per person at 165 pounds for the Day Zero (Day 2) test and Day 8 test, plus 95 more pounds for the Day 5 test. But less hassle? What do you think? Thanks for a great video!!! LT

    - 8 destinations removed from red list including Turkey and Pakistan
    - government recognises full vaccinations from a further 17 countries and territories including Japan and Singapore

    • @AutopilotAviation
      @AutopilotAviation  3 года назад

      hello unfortunately not. you have to have been fully vaccinated in the UK as they will only accerpt the NHS covid pass currently which can only account for those who have been vaccinated in the UK. I am in a similar situation being a uk citizen, but vaccinated in the US. They did say they are looking into changing this soon however who knows when that is. it has already been at least 2 weeks since they said this. This means, as it stands you will still be required to quarantine and take the day 2 and 8 tests.

    Thank you for this useful video.
    I was wondering if there would be a penalty charge if they came and checked us out but we are not at home we are out to drop off our PCR test??

    • @AutopilotAviation
      @AutopilotAviation  3 года назад

      Hello there shouldnt be a penalty as on the gov.uk website it states you are allowed to leave quarantine for essential reasons and dropping off a test is listed as one of them.

    Hi Thanks a lot for your video, which was really helpful. I'm on my way back to UK from amber listed country. It seems Randox was good enough for you however there are so many negative reviews so I would like an advise. Randox is def cheaper one.

      hello i can only comment on my experience. i have not read others reviews on it, but i had absolutely no issues. They were perfect from my experience. every company is going to have some negative reviews. they all pretty much do the same thing and it is your choice. i only chose them because they were one of the cheapest and recommended by my airline British Airways. hope this kind of helps.

      Basically you get your result next day midnight latest, but I’ve got my result in the next morning. I recommend to use drop off point. I can answer if there’s any particular question. I stopped off on Heathrow Raddison hotel, Isleworth.
      I recommend for the price also.

      @@TiggerZ1969 Hello, as it stands the new rules are only for those fully vaccinated in the uk. they are looking at changing this but no one knows when. as it stands currently, you will have to go through all this: test before you leave, test on day 2 and day 8 and quarantine for 10 days. alternatively you can take the day 5 test and get out of quarantine on day 6. like i said though, i am hoping they open the vaccines up to anywhere or those part of WHO. Thanks for your information was very helpful. I have a question that I don't think has been covered is if you do a Test to Release on Day Five and all is good and Negative, I am sure on the Government website it says that you have to do a new Passenger locator form.

    • @AutopilotAviation
      @AutopilotAviation  3 года назад

      hello, if you decide to do this before completing your original passenger locator form, it will ask you if you wish to participate in the scheme which you tick yes and answer the following questions. However, if you decide to participate in it once you are already in the UK, then you will have to fill out a new passenger locator form. I did not know this until researching it so thank you for asking the question. I hope this helps.
