Aurora's music is frequently inspired by nature. She told The Sun: "'Running With The Wolves' is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radio and all the stuff we keep around us."
Aurora wrote the song during the blood moon in 2014. She told The 405: "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free."
And let's not forget she was only 11 when she wrote this song. True prodigy.

Remember, Aurora (literally) grew up in the woods; it was her playground as a child in Norway. Campaigning for nature is not an intellectual endeavor for her but a visceral attachment.

All her songs are epic. Not meaningless lyrics or half-baked pop music, but songs with depth from a true artist. She’s also a beautiful human being.
Pretty cool how the wires seemed to wrap around her as she danced, like overgrown vines, like they were restraining her a little. This was after saying she was stronger for having become a cyborg or having prolonged life.
At the beginning she is twitching and trying to prove how she can talk, see, taste, etc. as if everything is fine with the world because everything is fine with her.
Kind of shows humanity's selfish nature and willful ignorance to keep distracting themselves from their surroundings being ruined.
Yet deep down inside of us all, there is something healing about being in nature and something that is empty when way too much time is spent in a city. An inner need is missing.
She evokes passion and emotions that 've been tucked away, just to deal with daily life. Aurora sets our minds and souls free to just look around and come to our senses, literally. We have to feel, instead of think all the time. Our powerful mind has taken over our instincts and natural purity. I like to be inspired by her, but also to the people that react to her, like you. Don't hold back, please. You are so sincere and honest.

The hierarchy of wolves is interesting, and I have read about and seen many examples of this in documentaries. The hierarchy basically seems to be volunteer in the way that if you don't like it you can leave. One such wolf tried to mate with the leader female of the pack and was chased out ot the pack. He lived as a stray for 2 years, hunting together with a badger, before he met a stray female...they then went back to his original pack and took over leadership of it. Another story was about a leader wolf that seemed to have his best friend on the bottom of the pecking order. This "omega" wolf was very humble and would lie down for every other wolf in the pack. The leader wolf, after some time chose the "omega" female as his mate so she became "alpha" female in the pack. When this leader got to weak to be the leader, he then promoted the "omega" male, that btw was they physically biggest in the pack, to the new "alpha", but I don't remember who he chose as his female. From what I can understand a wolf pack is basically a family unit of "friends", in the sense that it is volunteer to participate. The internal order is based on hunting strategies, and procreation, where natural leaders emerge, and not everybody wants to be the leader, it is comfortable somewhere in the middle, but the one that has the skills must rise to the task. Well, that is just my impression of wolf packs....

There is a book called "Women Who Run With Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D. It is about women who are reconnecting to the wild woman within. Connecting to not just nature but our inner nature. I'm pretty sure this is where she got the inspiration. You must watch Aurora Haik concert and documentary.

This song Is the very 1st song that I ever heard of this Phenomenon Aurora As I have said before I absolutely Adore her she is such a talented and spiritual artist. The way I saw this performance live was on live German Television an Acoustic set in this Bar in Germany the presenter absolutely loved her no wonder there. From that moment on I had to learn more about her and find more videos and the very next one I found was her Live performance at the Beautiful Gothic like Catherdral Nidarosdomen which was so Ethereal it made me cry touched my soul to its core. I think right you have seen that one as well Just love this girl I would love to just sit with her for a while and talk with her she is a gentle spirit from the heavens more than an artist she is A Messenger
These are not tree roots. They are wires and cables that connects her with technology. The song is about running away from technology. She takes off all the wires that bound her with modern life and runs off with the wolves in nature.

Aurora learned to play piano when she was six years old, and she learnt it by herself. She also used to spend all day in the forest, also alone, because her whole life she's loved nature :D she also started making music and melodies when she was six.

It was so funny when you mentioned blades of grass. My ex-wife grew up in Brooklyn. When she wouod go to Florida to visit her aunt, she would do everything she could to avoid walking barefoot on grass. She said it felt too strange and actually scared her.

Songs like this is needed for everyone to be reminded that this is an actual fight that won't be won in a long long time, but must be remembered that is ongoing.
Don't get me wrong, I love my home city. But that's not the same as not seeing the whole picture and dreaming of how the world _should_ be and that we can _actually_ accomplish synergy.

The power of Aurora live in concert is unbelievable! I have seen her twice, once with a metalhead with a love of going to festivals and concerts. She was blown away and sat there stunned by the fact that Aurora hits harder live then most of the metal bands she had seen i concert.

This is ART and the best live version of this song ever made (in my opinion) and it could be the official music video, it is so awesome.
This is form the April 2020 streaming festival “Somewhere Else” where Aurora did a concert. Her band is behind the curtain and this was very live, she fell on her bum during the last song and promptly got up again and continued to sing and dance.
You should also look at this one, it gives you closer look at her as she is in concert, even thought it is pale in comparison to being in the audience. The sound is not so good as it is filmed by an audience member, but it shows you how she can be so soft and feminine, powerfull and raw while shouting and being sensual and electric, all in one song. It is spectacular!

I'd LOVE for you to react to Through the Eyes of a Child (Lift Vevo version). You don't even need to see the video, I ALWAYS recommend listening to that with headphones on, laying in bed with eyes closed. It's an experience, it's not an upbeat song like the seed or this one, it's calm, and makes you travel back in time, when life was simpler and more innocent. One of my favourite songs ever. Infections of a different kind, the river, lucky, are other songs by Aurora that I really love. Amazing reactions! I really like people freaking out like I usually do :D

I just wanted to say that wolf packs don't really have alfas or betas and such, the pair that is talked about in the wolf packs when it comes to alfas are usally the parents, and the pack is usally a famelly. The scientist that made a book (1947) about the ranking of wolfs was R. Schenkel, and he tried to get the book of the shelfs when he understood when he was in the wrong, but the idea had allready exploded in peoples minds.

I feel like Aurora should always be experienced live. It's like she got this extra dimension to her when live performing that a studio version will never capture.
Try listen to her "Through the eyes of a child", both the VIVO stripped version (so pure and clean) and the one from Nidarosdomen concert (this one brought tears to my eyes).
