I think a level 53 (or whatever is highest possible BO/Shout) barb should buff both golems before the duel. The reason is that a lot of it depends on who gets first hit. The golems lack HP so one lucky crit can end the duel, but if their HP was stronger, the duel might end up different.

Can iron golems cast skills on hit? or on attack? like casting decripify when struck or even the delirium morph? or the chilling armor from fort?!
Iron golems can proc :) They cannot use charges or if item gives them + skill like for example enigma Golem can't cast teleport.

Long ago we beat Ubers using nothing but Iron Golems, they are super OP with the right auras

I still have yet to see anyone try a ripsaw flamberg lol! It has 80% open wounds close to malice's 100% but doesnt drain life! 2 handed weps dont give their damage to iron golems so they wont get hit with thorns

As a unexperienced player that doesn't use jsp, seeing this fortitude being turned into an iron golem gave me a heartache 😅 Took me FOREVER to get one

Iron golem needs a rework. Would be great if you could imprint a crazy item you broke down to make it and every time you re creat it, it will have the stats from the imprent weapon.

As much as i want to agree with this. Iron Golem is like the last upgrade for Necro. You can try to do it with your merc running pride and insight in your golem but you'll only be disappointed from the shattered corpses.
Its only worth running iron if you have infinity in your merc and by that time sacrificing an insight shouldnt be a problem. I roll sockets on every elite polearm that drops until i have 2 4os on stand by. I only run 10 hard points in golem mastery and my Iron still never dies unless i do ubers. Besides, having that chance to lose an insight makes you focus more, i haven't died in a damn long while since switching.
Is a maxed out iron golem worth it nowadays on necro?
no just put 1 hard point into it and 1 into each of the boosting skills. before u exit put a golemlords wand on and it will resummon it with the boosted skills each game. u can get wand with +3 summ skills, +3 ig, +3 golem mastery, and +3 summon res
