    I don't know if anyone else mentioned, but if you have dry or sensitive skin, wear gloves to work with the poblanos ... those seeds and innards will cause serious pain ... This recipe is definitely on my list!!!! Thank you 😘😘😘

    I have only had premade jackfruit (Uptons, etc.) because I'm a bit nervous about cooking it on its own. Thank you for sharing this easy recipe and helping to get over my irrational fear haha. These tacos look and sound so flavorful. And I love that you mention various brands of canned jackfruit on your blog, so helpful!

      The Viet Vegan just rinse it out and wipe it. never ever use soap on it ever!!!! for new cast medium heat. heat the dry pan, pour in oil just enough to coat. rub oil around with a paper towel. turn off heat let it cool. repeat. done! the more you you use the skillet the more nonstick it gets

    I shared this on my Facebook page. I love this! I haven't tried this particular recipe yet, but I did try Jackfruit as BBQ sandwiches and my kids loved it and agreed to eat it as much as I want to make it, so I want to make these tacos. It is so much healthier than meat and then we don't have to worry about all those hormones and junk in the food. Thank you so much for demonstrating this recipe and I am sure my family is going to love it! I have subscribed to your channel, because you make everything look so simple and easy to understand. Thanks again!

    Usually I cringe whenever ppl do fusion meals like this but I was very pleasantly surprised! You didn't claim that your tacos were traditional or anything like that. I love using roasted poblanos. How we do it at my house is roast them on one on those long grill things over the stove and we put them in a plastic bag like you did. However, I'd recommend not running them under water. Instead, fill a bowl with some clean water and just dip you hand in there as you are peeling the peppers. I conserves the flavor much more:)

    I made the tacos, the adobo cream sauce and made my own coleslaw using vegan mayo mixed w/ some of the adobo cream sauce, and topped the taco w/guacamole, and sour cream. I had it in hard taco shells. The next day using the leftovers I made taco salad using iceberg lettuce and chili lime Doritos. Very yummy especially the adobo cream sauce. I will make it again. After being cooked does the jack fruit freeze well? I had leftover adobo cream sauce and put that in the freezer, I'll report back on how that taste when I reheat it.

    • @MsScreamShirley
      @MsScreamShirley 4 года назад

      I defrosted the adobo cream sauce two months later in a small saucepan with less than a tablespoon of water stirring until smooth and hot on a low flame. It was just as yummy as the day I originally made it. The sauce makes the meal!
