ooh a dessert one with lotus biscoff, chopped nuts, and banana, also topped with a scoop of vegan vanilla ice cream, would be soo good. Top tip for folding the wraps; fold quadrant one over quadrant two, and quad four over quad three, then in half. That way all the edges are folded into the middle and you get less spilling out.
i am going to be trying the savory breakfast one ASAP. We made sweet breakfast ones with banana, blueberry, almond butter, chocolate chips and strawberry jam.
I love this trend! My sons and I have been making these weekly for Wednesday morning breakfast. We use leftover taco meat from the night before, just egg, colby jack cheese, spinach and hashbrowns. I make a sauce with strawberry preserves and Sriracha to spread first. It's delicious! I'd definitely try your dessert recipe with bananas and maybe walnuts. TFS!
I think this would be good to try with all the ingredients of a smore. Chocolate, crushed graham crackers, marshmallows, and maybe nuts or nut butter. Yummmy!
My partner and I had been making vegan crunchwraps lately and this recipe is so much easier and very similar. The dessert one is a great hack I just may have to try. Its also so nice to see a vegan eat easy accessible vegan items, like the Just Egg and Beyond Meat. Love homemade vegan substitutes but sometimes the pre-made stuff is so convenient. Appreciate you and can not wait to have your second book for our home collection in March!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! So funny because I have a buffalo chicken crunch wrap in my new cookbook, but now it's not done like this! HAHA but a crunchwrap folded into a hexagon or whatever that is, is just as clever and compact I feel.
@@hotforfood that sounds absolutely delightful and either way still not that difficult to make and both convenient to eat. Super excited to try the recipe!!
Growing up my dad would always make a dessert "quesadilla" with cajeta (mexican caramel) or sweetened condensed milk. 😋 I'm all for poor people dessert hacks lol
Love you my vegan queen, BUT, hot giardiniera is alive and well here in Chicago (where it originated from) and we put it on everything. Italian beef, hot dogs, pizza, in our salads. It’s been a staple in my fridge all 25 years of life so far haha. It’s the best!
Lauren! I did a vegan dessert crepe edition last week! I filled it with vegan Nutella, chopped hazelnuts, banana, and vegan white chocolate. Then I topped it with powdered sugar and whipped cream and dipped it in maple syrup lol was SOOOOO good! Yours look delicious as well! I really want the pot pie version 🤤🤤
You are the first I've seen to mention which quadrant hits the grill. Yes, the third and fourth ones are the outside quadrants. I think it's best to put the things you want the most heat in those and more delicate things, like fresh greens, in the first two quadrants. Thanks for mentioning it! It has been driving me nuts seeing people put the meltables on the inside! Ugh. Must be OCD or something. Cheers!
I have a hack for the hack that I've been doing: put the whole tortilla flat in the grilll/pan(with cut) and load/do the folding in the pan with a spatula. Then all quadrants hit the grill/pan surface!
That's why I love this wrapping method. You can add more stuff to it. When I was a kid my mom always had that mixed pickled stuff with sandwiches and stuff. I liked it. I would eat the chicken pot pie one. I just made a tortilla dessert with some chocolate chips on the inside and whip cream on top. They make good desserts. I think frying it in butter is best. I am trying to get creative in the kitchen again.
I can’t waiiitttt to try these. I bought the Just egg folds for first time last week and ate them 4 days in a row. They are legit better than any egg sandwich I had all my life. What magic! We do tortillas several times weekly and you just expanded our world!! 💗
Lauren.....Lauren.......Lauren, these looks so flippin delicious!!!!!! There is something so comforting to me about watching your videos, I've been watching you for a long time and your just like an friend that I've had for years that We've have been through a lot with......I don't know it's hard to explain, thank you Lauren!!!!
Okay fine Lauren, I'll make one of these!!! btw I made the Mac n cheese skillet with baked tofu bacon all from your first cookbook the other night and I must say that ish was fire!!! your recipes are the only ones from the internet and cookbooks that I trust and follow and every single thing I've tried of yours has been a success. Thanks for all the hard work you do bringing us this food magic!!!!
In Italy we eat the Giardiniera as a starter with ham, salami, focaccia, torta fritta, but in my family we eat it every time is available 😂.. The best one is the one with big chunchs of vegetables that in general are carrots, celery, cauliflower and peppers.. Mmm🤤🤤
I did a breakfast one banana, hemp seeds, jam and choc chips...a little rick for me and I did a taco one, Mexican tofu, peppers/tom, cheese and spinach it was good!
I feel like Lauren is a math teacher using the tortilla to teach us math but she’s doing it with good to encourage the learning process. Thank you Ms. Toyota for today’s math lesson that’s also very tasty lol
I’m sorry...did I hear that right? You said NO ONE USES GIARDINIERA?!?! Have you been to Chicago? It’s on so many things here! So good! Especially on pizza!
@@hotforfood probably because it’s usually on beef or sausage sandwiches. Buts it’s good to use in place of pickles on any sandwich! I think it’s mostly a midwestern thing
@@hotforfood I hope you know that you have made some of the best vegan content on YourTube! I’ve supported for years and I would LOVE to see more videos about how you recipe test and create content for your cookbooks.
All these look so good! Very creative! I do want to say though I didn't understand the way you made quesadillas before. I always used 1 tortilla and then it was like a half circle. Then you can cut it and it won't all spill out. Also marshmallows would be delicious in the dessert one.
the folded egg patty isn't in canada yet :/ MAYBE Good Rebel Vegan has it? Cause they get stuff the regular grocery stores can't. But the liquid is def there and it should be at select Walmarts
I own a grill press but I’m unsure how to use it...do you put it on the burner to get it hot first? I have seen chefs use an additional cast iron pan on top but I did not want to do that, seems like a cleaning nightmare.

The breakfast one has my name on it. I could eat breakfast foods all day every day

Yesss 🥰
I'd be wanting some side dipping gravy for the chicken pot pie one :)
THERE'S an idea
Mushroom gravy is awesome!
I have 2 amazing gravy recipes on the blog!
@@hotforfood Cool. Thanks!
i am going to be trying the savory breakfast one ASAP. We made sweet breakfast ones with banana, blueberry, almond butter, chocolate chips and strawberry jam.
That wrap hack for the pot pie? GENIUS! Haven't tried the Beyond Meatballs but definitely going to try it. It's the endless possibilities for me :~)
They’re sooooo awesome!
You spreading the mash potatoes with your hands is one of the reasons that i love you 😂
Lol 😂
omg!! i just made this with gardien nashville hot chikin, leftover daiya mac and cheese and spicy pepperjack cheeze shreds!! 💖👩🍳🌶✨
Hot 🙌
these are very fun ideas! also i've never been this early pls let me celebrate.
🥳 woo hoo!

Came to the comments to see who else knew that flour tortillas are a total dessert hack in and of themselves 😋

so I am reading in the comments LOL - bitch, I'm from Canada!
It's pronounced "jar-di-naira"...a Chicago-area sandwich staple!
not quite, it's jar-di-niera in italian ;)
Thank you! I was like, what do you mean no one uses it?! I always have a jar in the fridge
This just reminded me how badly I want to make a vegan Ricobene's sandwich.
Also from Chicago. I GASPED at that comment. I have never had pasta or pizza without it.

This is such a genius way to make grilled wraps. I’m mad I didn’t think of folding them this way!
Ikr 🤦🏻♀️
Holiday leftovers Thanksgiving and Christmas would be cool too
oOoOo my FYP is filled with recipes and Ive seen this being made before!!! I havent tried it on my own yet though

Omg, these look so yummy! I am dying to try them now! Thanks for the ideas😄👍
welcome!
I’d try my favorite snack
of peanut butter and dill
pickles, yes I said that!!
When I was younger I would have a banana wrap with peanut butter and chocolate chips for dessert. White tortillas totally go with dessert!
I did a breakfast one banana, hemp seeds, jam and choc chips...a little rick for me and I did a taco one, Mexican tofu, peppers/tom, cheese and spinach it was good!
Very nice!
"so if yours aren't flavorful *for some reason*" girrrl if that ain't my in-laws. season EVERYTHING baby!!!
More vegan TikTok inspired videos please !!! Also I miss Lauren straight up just cooking like this 🥺😭
Looks good. I’m definitely trying the first two.
Please do!
I want all three omg - I also love IKEAs new vegan beyond style meatballs! Definitely gonna try with those sometime. Yum!!!

Those would be great with a specific green herb! =P
Oooh, these look YUMMY!!!! Thanks, Lauren!
I did preorder your new book. I just need to go get my dessert book now.👏🤩
Thank you! Yesss go get it!
I love this! Also, if you put the cheese in quadrant 3 and 4 instead on 1 and 4 it all ends up on the outside and both would get really melty!
I know, I am visually impaired LOL 😂 realized this after I shot everything HAHA
Pregnant me wants all of this so badly ... I think I’ll be stopping by the store tomorrow to get ingredients for that meatball sub one 😍
Chicken pot pie! 😋 Sign me up! Great ideas, Lauren! Thanks! 😍
Yay! Thank you!
This is such a good idea for traveling/camping!
This was so satisfying to watch
Delicious breakfast .. keep it up .😋

in italy we use giardiniera to make rice salad for summer :)
i made the toffee apple cakes from just dessert stuff and they’re amazing!! cant wait for the launch events :)

Daiya cheese and tofurkey chicken!

Soo cool😋
