I just started seeing texture on my forehead where I didn’t have any. I had no idea that the silicone could do that! I am so thrilled to have found you! I’m really loving your videos. You hit on all the things that I am interested in as my skin is really now showing signs of aging and I have no idea what to do in terms of skincare and makeup. I also love that the looks you do are beautiful and realistic. I can’t handle the layers of thick foundation some of the beauty “gurus” do. I also enjoy the fact that I don’t feel like you are demoing products that we should run out and buy and then never hear about again and on to the next one. I really enjoy learning about new products but also am looking for things that work for me and the techniques to use them in many different ways. I can’t afford to buy every new product and I think it’s wasteful to buy stuff just to buy it and never use it. I really appreciate you and the quality of your content. Thank you!

Well, I am a bit late to the party and obviously am in the back of da bus. I just got this foundation/moisturizer and I’m loving it. I put it on right in the store with my fingers (couldn’t find the staff anywhere). When i asked for feedback the girl asked where I put it on and I told her what side of my face it was on. Since she couldn’t tell compared to the other side it was good enough for me. I put it on the rest of my face and went to pay for it. Today I have NARS on one side and UD on the other and both look great! So I went from not happy with any foundations to loving 2! Must be my lucky week.❤️😊

I have tried several setting powders that were said to be non drying. The only thing that really looks good is the MAC mineralized skin finish natural. For my mature skin, it is perfect. I'm also trying that Mally pore defender lightly on areas that are textured like the nose and between the eyebrows. This foundation looks just great on you!!

The First Aide Beauty Super FAB skin tint is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It actually has great natural coverage, a hidden gem nobody is talking about and I have large pores and very oily skin. I seen someone with Rosascia put it on and it totally covered it, and it has skincare benefits! I literally just ordered that J one Jelly pack primer yesterday, I am so bummed it didn't work for you, darn it! Now I'm scared to try it! Could you please do a review on this Super FAB skin tint?

Your skin Is flawless compared to what age does to us. When you talk about mature skin could you use someone over 50 that has our difficulties? What looks beautiful on you, may not do so well with lines that are coming in on the older skin. I have learned a lot from your techniques.

Yes, thank you. I am 52 years old with textured skin and sun damage. Light coverage does very little for me. I would love a video on foundations with full coverage for TRULY mature skin. High end and drugstore.

This is one of my go-tos, especially in the winter. I'm broke now, and my medium light expired, so I'm using my summer shade (medium), and it's too dark. However, it's not SO dark that I can't bronze my neck a little and wear it that way. I'm still surprised my skin tolerates the silicone in this, but hey, whatever works! Glad to see this awesome product getting some love!
The It cosmetics CC cream is my Holy Grail! It's $38 but has spf 50 and skin care benefits in it. I think you would really like it!

I've been loving your sense of humor/sarcasm! I am always giggling throughout your videos. Thats why your my favorite, your just real! The foundation really does look beautiful! Bummer for you though since its siliconey. I've started to hear good things about the bye bye lines it cosmetics foundation! That could be good since, ya know, it has good for your skin ingredients! I've been having issues with everything creasing in my smile lines. I get the big parentheses around my mouth...sooooooo freaking annoying!! Lots of love!!!

My favorite tinted moisturizer is by bare minerals it is a gel formula and it is called complexion rescue. I am in my 40s very dry skin and I absolutely love it. No cake face just water and moisture and it’s buildable. Are used to do over the summer in a tan color and people gave me such complements. Now that it’s winter I use a much pillar color. It gives a flawless finish of course I can’t do anything about a couple find lines under my eyes but it gives you this youthful glow and that’s what I also love about it. This is something I might have to try if my holy grail starts disintegrating on me or something crazy LOL
I’ve been using One and Done in light since it was released. I think it has a lot of coverage for a tinted moisturizer, and doesn’t look too “wet”. I didn’t notice any treatment effects, but it does look good on my skin, and lasts all day with a little powder. The dimethicone didn’t cause any problems for me. Unfortunately, the SPF is low and I don’t apply enough (2 to 3 pumps) for it to be enough protection, so I use a sunscreen or tinted sunscreen underneath.

Holy crap! Wow, so pretty. I love it on you. I am 50, just turned last month. I am so consumed by this aging face. I've never been so worried about how my face looks like I am now. So that said my biggest issue is the pore issue, nothing truly works. Well, not anything I have tried from techniques to primers (Like 10!~in a few months).
Which primer is your absolute favorite to minimize pores? And my undereye game has vastly improved thanks to you, you Goddess you!! xoxo

That does look beautiful, I do stay away from BB creams too sticky, but this looks great. I use the Estee Lauder Double Wear everyday so I think I might give this a try. The Double Wear sometimes I feel there is no luminosity and I look like a biscuit.
I took your advice and bought Vit. C oil, a Peptide serum and a gel moisturizer and I do the double cleanse, thank you for all the suggestions you give, really helpful. You are like a sister from another mother :)) Love your honesty and how down to earth you are. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi! What did you use to prep your skin before this foundation? I think you went over the list quickly, do you have a link for the products? I thought your skin looked really hydrated and I am all for hydrated products! Thank you!
Your skin looks luminous & lovely. Really like the soft lavender eye mu too. Can your skin handle the dimethicone if you rotate this with your other faves? Sometimes it's the daily accumulation that will fill your bucket & boom- skin/body rebels. Other times its just a no-go at all times with certain ingredients/ substances. You know your body.
I'm trying to decide if I should get this or the It cosmetics cc cream. Which one do you think is longer lasting and is the least likely to settle into fine lines and wrinkles and easiest to apply? Would you use your fingers or a brush to apply the It cosmetics cc cream and if a brush, which one? I have learned so much from your videos and definitely one of my favorite you tubers!! Hey Nicole!!! Thank you so much for the kind words. I like combining the two sometimes. You absolutely don't need the MAC one it will give you more coverage. So if you have a prob with cakey under eyes it wouldn't do that. I love the hourglass powders because they are light reflecting and don't ever give me cake face. I do have a video coming up on Tuesday all about setting under eyes xo
Hi, Elle -- Can you describe the face texture a little bit? How does silicone cause it? I feel like I'm taking really good care of my skin--better than ever--but I also have more milia. Any idea if silicone is a cause? And do I need to see a dermatologist to get them removed? (I know I probably shouldn't go at my face with a needle.)
Hey love!!! so my texture is from clogged pores and inflamed skin. Sillicone is supper occlusive on the skin and doesn't let it breath but the video will go into more detail. Milia in my opinion does need to be taken care of by a doc but it is from to much hydration, so might want to switch to gel formulas xoox

You are only 41 and you can't relate to younger people with perfect skin? Maybe you should work a little harder on achieving better looking skin. Nothing is impossible when you work at it. Thats what I'm doing and im over 41. You can do it!

Hi. I am new to your channel but I love you already! I too use the It CC and love it. I seem to have a hard time finding a true medium to full coverage that I can use more in the evening when I go out. I have mature skin that is dry. I have tried so many different foundations but haven’t fallen in love with anything. I don’t like cakey or anything that makes me look or feel like I’m wearing a mask. Any suggestions. Hi! Ur skin care is a lot like mine...& also ur skin, so I am looking forward to seeing any of ur skincare. Tatcha has changed my life. Do u use a Retin-whatever? I was using Luna but I can't fit it in...also used the ordinary 2%...I skip it the most since using some Tatcha & a few other products including things like Sunday Riley Vitamin C & Tatcha Vitamin C mask. I spend way more on skincare than makeup...but I try to & have to be careful of both.
I've been using the Korres Vitamin C oil for a good while now and I haven't noticed a difference as far as reducing dark spots, helping with radiance. It feels nice and smells like wine (ha) but I'm wondering if I wasted my money. The Drunk Elephant seems to get more raves and has air-tight packaging. Random, just thinking out loud. :)
I just found this Video and I am actually wearing One and Done. I am a mature person and it does look nice on my skin. It is my weekender. My issue is I will go through the tube really quickly. I apply it with my fingers and then tap out with a damp sponge. It is nice but not sure if I will purchase it again. It over $50 in Australia and not enough product IMO :)

lilred00051 -silicone helps the makeup glide over pores & fine lines. It's like a built in primer. It's good for dry skin. Don't know about other skin types.
Silicones are drying in the long run.
It's look beautiful. I'm 54 have combo skin t zone in summer. Freckles Do u think that combo of found and mineral powder will do ok?

I personally like the UD one better- and I really like Bare Minerals, but for some reason the Complexion Rescue doesn't work on my skin.

I see these gorgeous makeup routines but bc some skincare doesn’t “gel well” with certain makeup, it would make it so much easier if when I see these makeup routines to maybe also add what skincare you’re currently using as well to help you create that look. Actually you always say what you’re skincare routine is currently....just wish more would do that.

Yes, it will! I didn't start until I was 50 & it completely turned my face around, seriously. I'm Italian & Spanish & have had good skin all my life but then menopause came along.. and some wicked winters here ion the east coast & all of a sudden my face, neck & hands had a crackle finish I could not get rid of. I was going crazy buying all sorts of treatments & nothing worked until I read something about The Ordinary at Beautilish.com. I called them, explained everything to them then burst into tears as I was so frustrated & after I sent them a photo, they selected, recommended a selection of serum & oils and believe it or not, everyone thinks I'm 42yrs old, even now. I turned 60 earlier this year & do not look it much to my husband's delight & no one believes me when I tell them how old I really am! ... Thanks be to God, good genes & The Ordinary Co. Please check them out, speak to someone & let them sort you out. Big plus is that they are so affordable! You won't have to break the bank any longer. Great foundations also. They will also recommend other brands if that would be better for you & do sell some of them. Wonderful company. They even call you, email you, just to see how you are making out & if your regimen needs tweaking. I've never known a dept store to do that even with $100s of dollars in my arms with their products; not one. Give them a try! Best to you.. 😊
