Great video joris. Keep'em coming
Thank you for another great vid !
Really great tips, clear and easy to understand. How to film yourself was great highly recommended!
Good job, time and a place for everything 👍🏻
I really like the top down angle for the explanation! Kudos for not getting lazy and adding those explanatory elements!
Yeah, I have to change my whole setup to do those top down shots but laziness is no option! 😄🙏🏻💥
Hey - thanks for having us. ✌️❤️
That banging your hearing is me smacking my for head after you explained zoom to focus. Never pressed that button once...lol. Love learning. Helps me understand how little I truly know. Thanks for the tips. Keep them coming.
Loved the video very helpful please make more videos on manual focus
I think I'm going to practice moving with the camera around a static subject so I can feel out the depth of field before I start to follow a moving subject. Great tips in here, thanks 🙏🏻
Thank you. I struggled with slow motion b-roll on my canon M50. Focus peaking was not perfect. I will try zooming in too. I am considering getting second camera with autofocus in 120fps to solve the problem. Thinking of Sony zve 10 but not sure if expect too much and just should muster manual focus. I watched Peter Lindgren tutorials and he always uses manual focus but on much more expensive camera and lens.
Thanks for this! Manual focus is definitely a bit of challenge.
It really makes you appreciate focus pullers 💯💥 🎥
Here is another disgusting nice comment 😜
Awesome video on manual focus, man! I did shot a short clip of myself using vintage lenses and that was very challenging for me as a beginner. But there was no camera movement 😅
Yesterday did another manual focus practise round with vintage lens, but only photography - that’s easier for a beginner like me 😄
Will keep your tips in mind when I practise again - thanks for sharing! 🔥
Thanks for this video! Awesome tips! Still struggling with manual focus but I will continue practicing! Have you tried back button focusing on the M50?
Nope, haven't tried it on he M50!
Could you do a a video or some tips/tricks to selfie record using the M50 and a gimbal? 🤔
Whilst I’ve been recording for a while doing this with the M50, 16mm Sigma lens and the Weebill S gimbal...I feel it could be so much better, so could say it’s a confidence “thing”...but I’m sure there is something/s I’m missing.
How are you zooming in 10x? Focus magnifier only gives me a 4x option on the a7s
How do you film product labels? When I shoot a label with text the text is not in focus and comes out fuzzy and blurry. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! Your videos are great!
good Tips!👌🏻I use most of the time manual focus, but it remains a tricky process😅
Yep, definitely tricky if you have to do everything yourself!
Brilliant video Joris. I'm so addicted to your channel. Are you using a orange light on your left side?
Yep, RGB light! 💥
@@JorisHermans I thought so too speaking of which I ordered my second RGB one u recommended. Now I have 2. They are amazing. I also have same problem with the focus like you. Great video.
Haha, my R6 often tries to get my moustache in focus instead of my eye. I think the AI thinks my moustache looks like my eyebrow 😂
lol that could be the problem too on my m50
😅
Great tips! I just wish the focus peaking was green. The rest of the colors aren't always visible :/
True! A bright magenta would work too in a lot of cases...
nobody talks about tab to focus or half press shutter to focus
since i start learn camera, i rally on Manual Focus
and yeah i admit it's quite pain in the ass to make it the Focus RIGHT!
my conclusion are like you what you said : PLAN IT!
so all i do are make some Note about A B C D E hahahaha
(also since i'm not Vlogger etc. i only own 1 Auto focus lens and thats are Kit lens hahahaha)
This is a VERY mean comment because you said I was nice.
😅🙏🏻💥
