After listening to this version I feel like I had a realization. I realized that I will be on the pursuit of happiness my entire life until one day it is finally over. I think that’s what adult life is. We pursue happiness day in and day out because that’s really the only pursuit there is. Whether or not we get there is irrelevant and most likely impossible, but we will be on the pursuit none the less.
I feel like we gotta find a bit of happiness in the pursuit of it. Even if it's not real...
might be a little late but i had a realization as well. pursue peace not happiness. because you can find quick happiness everyday. most of those ways are unhealthy, drugs, partying, meaningless sex etc. chase peace brotha. it’s up to you to find your peace good luck brotha:)

This might be my favorite thing Cudi has ever made, and he’s BEEN my favorite artist.
I know I didn't have as much of a painful or extreme history as other people in the CudiFam have, but he also helped me through my toughest years. And still does to this day. As a man it's hard asf to cope with a mental breakdown cause you look so weak, I told no one else about it but Cudi helped me cope with myself. And anytime I would play his music I would feel safe and like he's right next to me
Partying hard to this as a 18-20something and nearly dying all the time from drugs and liquor. I’m nearly 30 now and this version of the song is just speaking to my soul looking back on those days and thinking how lucky I am to be alive and how thankful I am for the people in my life now
