We was on nearly the exact same Route last Year (and the Rest of England) for over 8 Weeks. It was a really liquid Summer, but overall we saw so many awesome Places and met so many friendly People. Love to have a Comeback soon Greetings from Germany
Looks like a great trip. Hopefully you’ll get the weather for the duration next time you are up. It’s truly amazing when the sun is shining, although a wee bit of rain is maybe more typical. Spent 2 years in the Cairngorms with work was a great time as a younger chap.
Just a quick note re "wild camping" in Scotland, this is from the Highland Council Rangers Service. ARE YOU THINKING OF GETTING A ROOF TENT? Looks like a great idea...go anywhere, cheaper than a motorhome, less hassle BUT they actually are more restricted than an ordinary tent or a motorhome. * You cant drive off road to some isolated spot without the landowners consent. Even if your tent is on top of the latest chunky 4x4. * You cant set up your roof tent in a layby or car park. Any vehicle can 'rest' overnight in a layby or on-road car park as long as activity is contained within the vehicle (no awnings, ladders etc). Off- road Car park overnighting requires the consent of the owner and usually must be contained in vehicle. So where can you set up your roof tent... A campsite! Please book ahead if you can.
I love how I brought a land rover 110 to do this exact trip last year. I ended up going and doing it in my trust Ford Fusion lol. Hoping to do it next year in the landy.
HIII YOUNGSTERS. You got my click as soon as you jumped in the water.. I felt my heart :))) Great start, beautiful, just a perfect vibe. Keep happy and I am waiting for wild camping views on this trip diary . Thank you for sharing 🛺😍😍❤❤❤❤
Great video and nice editing! New subscriber here. Can you share what software/tool you used in creating a map line with a blurred video background? It's shown in 4:14 minute of this video. Thanks. Greetings from Switzerland.
Part 2 IS NOW LIVE 🎉 Check it out here - ruclips.net/video/vzT222zy6OM/видео.html

It’s stunning!
Did the NC500 in Lizzy, our Defender 110 last September. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Awesome video! Well put together mate!
Thanks so much! Loving your vids too
We've never been to Scotland. Which is a tragedy that we ought to resolve, really. Will be following your series with interest 😃
Thanks! Can definitely recommend a trip
Great video guys! We're so excited to do it ourselves in the next few years. Bit of a trek from Brighton with very small children however 😅
Thanks so much! Haha, yes a bit of a mission but can definitely recommend it
Having done the NC500 I know part 2 is going to be even better
It gets better and better for sure!
I’m doing the trip in April for the second time, love your videos but PLEASE could u tell me the location of where u stayed over next to the loch
Great video! 3:44 - All Scottish people know the cultural significance of that bridge hahah
Why is the NC500 “infamous”? What’s wrong with it? I was thinking about driving it this autumn but if it’s that bad…
Really enjoyed - thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it

Hope you get to do it in your landy soon!
Really enjoyable video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved watching this! We are off on the NC500 in a few weeks, struggling to locate the loch with the beautiful sunset! How far from Dornoch is it?
It's a couple of miles out, I believe it is classed as being in Rogart. I hope you have a great trip!
Some great editing! Which wiper blades and side window screens are you using?
The wiper blades I use are Bosch Aero Twins - much better than the standard blades. The window deflectors were just off a random ebay page

Great countryside.
It’s stunning isn’t it!
How was the experience driving the Landy ? Thinking about purchasing one
I love it! It's probably not to everyones taste, but I can't think of a better vehicle to do this kind of trip
