In 1983 this movie was way over the top. It was the best marketing campaign for Cocaine. Suddenly a lot of people wanted to know what the buzz was all about.
Finally, at the very end, the scene that really defines it all. Tony refusing to kill a woman and her children, which was a decision that cost him his life. Like Darth Vader, there was still good in him.
i watched the original about 10 yrs ago and it was amazing how much stuff they took from it and converted it to the modern era of its time and made it cuban.

I read somewhere that while filming the final shootout, Pacino's hand got burned on the barrel of the rifle he was using and they had to suspend filming while it healed.
The original shower scene was brutal and disturbing when the film was first released.Due to pressure from the MPAA they had to pull the film from theaters to re-edit the shower scene.
People rip on Pacino's accent in the movie (so did I) but I learned later that's the sort of thing that makes a scene in a movie great. Schwarzenegger I'll be back comes to mind too.
What I want to know is in the scene where Tony and Elvira are sitting in the Cadillac outside the Porsche dealership, when he puts on her hat and she laughs, was that scene improvised? I could totally see it being an improvisation because her laugh definitely looked genuine.
The best info in this video is that Tammy came up missing after this movie. Her rounding the car in that blue bikini to talk to Manny, just before he decides it's been too long and that , as Tony said, "I not out in fifteen men-nuts, sunteens wrong".Her story would make a heartbreaking Lifetime movie.

I only say “military” size because since the M-79 came out, the U.S. military has been using 40 MM non-link in those launchers.
HK just came out with an amazing grenade launcher not too long ago, I forgot what it’s called but it’s an easy search. This new grenade launcher is also chambered for 40 MM non-link.
The M-79 was affectionately referred to as a Thump Gun, or Thumper for the noise its made on impact. A cut down M-79 was called a Pirate Gun. Fun facts.
@ For sure. Yea I was curious but what you mentioned made sense. Cause online they sale the 37mm launcher attachment or the launcher with a stock. They can hold tear gas, 37mm flares, and some other kind of rounds. I haven’t seen a 40mm for sale. But they do exist.
I have both the VHS and DVD, but I just watched it on Netflix the other night.
I wonder what happened to the 1968 Chevrolet Impala convertible they drove to the Sunray Hotel with?
The notorious Miami kingpin was actually a queenpin named Griselda Blanco.
There was kingpins before her in miami already
not at all
Fan of Pacino but that accent 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
His accent changed as much as the scar on his face
“Where the fk does it matter where I from meng? Stop fkn around he hectooorr” 😂
i watched the original about 10 yrs ago and it was amazing how much stuff they took from it and converted it to the modern era of its time and made it cuban.
Fun fact: The name Scarface is used only one time in the movie, but it was in Spanish! When Hector finished off Angel with the chain saw in the shower, and then they started to chain up Tony for his turn, you hear Hecor say “ Now then Cara sicatrice.” Excuse my spelling, but that’s supposed to be “Scar face” in Spanish 😅
Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys
I’ve watched this movie a lot these past 20 yrs 🎉
Informants dismembered😉
Great movie 🍿
Most ruthless gangster...no...no...no.. greatest Anti Hero... definitely a icon of the 80's...
Scarface wasn't an Anti-Hero! Only to criminals he was...
@keithkoenig5320 honestly, your entitled to your opinion but he's probably the greatest Anti Hero in movies... just remember why he did what he did... IDK... whatever you think you have to admit that it's a great movie
Naw....Tony did some straight up criminal shit...it started off with him murdering that dude in cold blood in the camp...
In this country🇺🇸, you gotta make the money first. 💰 Then when you get the money, you get the power. 💪🏽 Then when you get the power, then you get the women.💃🏽💃🏽
Truer words never spoken!
I read somewhere that while filming the final shootout, Pacino's hand got burned on the barrel of the rifle he was using and they had to suspend filming while it healed.
Little Tami....I hope she's ok 🙏❤️
I actually remember that episode of unsolved mysteries about her. Sad.
The original shower scene was brutal and disturbing when the film was first released.Due to pressure from the MPAA they had to pull the film from theaters to re-edit the shower scene.
One of the greatest rentals ever!
People rip on Pacino's accent in the movie (so did I) but I learned later that's the sort of thing that makes a scene in a movie great. Schwarzenegger I'll be back comes to mind too.
I remember the VHS tape for this movie, which came in two , because the length of the movie couldn't fit on one tape.
Ayo Chi Chiiiii!!! Where the yayo? I told you to get it
Yeah, I don't think people realise how much Video Cassette films cost back in the day when they first came out.
Temi didn't disappear she suddenly went home to her mothers after the 4th day of filming and even talked to the sheriff's in her home neighborhood, but didn't mention why
We all know people bought it on VHS, so they can watch it while partying!
That bad accent is legendary. Nothing like it out there. Tu sabes?
Yep, sometimes it sounded like he said "Sotha" for "Sosa" lol
Modern classic, even though its kinda violent.
In 83 I was 8. One Friday night my parents came home from the movies, my mom was RAVING about the movie they saw. My father came in the door a few seconds later with the opposite opinion, “that fckn movie! People doing dope & k!lling each other “. That movie….Scarface 😂
Scarface sold a good amount of movies
“I don’t know what happened to my nose, but it’s changed” - Al Pacino
It's the first movie I bought on VHS..it was on two tapes
