- This video is from my Periscope broadcasts during the Hillside Fire in San Bernardino. The fire started in the early morning hours of October 31st, burned 200 acres, destroyed 6 homes and damaged 18 others. The quality id not great but you can see the action of the Firefighters defending homes.

Great video Tod. All agencies did well on this and Old Water fire the week before. These could have been far worse, but we all up staffed for the wind events and got after it. Aggressive initial attack.

Solid firefighting here but the lack of BA is a concern... these things come back to haunt us in our old age.
The towering Queen Palms are so beautiful but obviously they should should be grown in the tropics, not out here where fires are so common. Those are treacherous when they ignite! Great video! I felt like coughing with you. Firefighters have more to worry about than fire. They are breathing so toxic stuff out there!
