- The Cypress Fire as it approached Sierra Ave in south Fontana. CAL FIRE & Riverside County Fire along with other agencies kept the fire from jumping across Sierra Ave. Nice aircraft show with drops from air tankers and helicopters.

YES! More long-form videos like this or even longer! People cannot comprehend how valuable these videos are for training and explanation purposes! As a VFF for almost a decade, i know first hand how valuable these videos are to helping departments get a good idea how things can be handled AS WELL AS how things can go bad REALLY fast.
Great footage and commentary. I was a wildland FF and the media doesn't show the guys on the ground enough, you did them justice showing how hard they work. And this was relatively easy compared to the helishots they dropped on the top of the hill. You should get your red card and see if you can embeded with one of those crews for a couple months. That would be some great footage.
sounds like a great idea
I am so impressed on your footage. Really nice. God bless the firemen always. ❤️❤️❤️
You can’t say enough about the hard work, dedication and bravery of fighter fighters. Many blessings to all of them worldwide and their safety.
they are danger boys, adrenalin addicts!😂
Good job guys .. keep up the good work ..
Awesome footage. Lots a great tactical information. Thanks for all you guys do and stay safe!
Boy does that ever bring back memories. I worked support truck for a type 3 helo about 20 years ago. I wasn't a firefighter, but was accepted into the community as though I was. All but 2 of the fires I worked were in SoCal, sometimes working out of Hemet, sometimes out of Ramona, one in Santa Barbara, one up by Yosemite and one north of Lake Baryessa, but most in Riverside and San Diego Counties. I know the area of that fire, having driven that road many times. Thanks for the video. Jon
Thank you guys for your service
I love this footage man please keep making em!!!
Great footage Tod
Thanks Mike
Thanks for sharing up And close actions From Santa Rosa CA.
Hang in there guys
My Gosh!!! Can't believe a frickin cigarette can cause such damage . . . and so dang fast! Guess this was what 🐻 Smokey the Bear was talkin' 'bout all those years ago when I was a kid...
Would be frustrating having you around. But glad others are getting to see and understand the strategies and tactics as you explain. Solid footage
Looks like he's being careful to stay away from the fire fighters or in gaps where the fire fighters aren't working.
@drmayeda yeah I’m more referring to being documented when your trying to do your job. I understand it’s the norm these days but I’ve noticed a few times guys peeking over there shoulder and realizing they are on camera. It just adds a bit more pressure and stress to an already stressful situation ex. Feeling like you need to be careful what you are saying and doing around a camera. Once again not bashing anyone, just how I would feel being out on the line with a camera pointed at me.
@@drmayeda1930 I agree though he’s doing a decent job at being careful
Great job guys
Truly an incredible video!! Loved it!!
WOW! Really great job all around! It disgusts me that people just throw their large refuse over the side of the highway. Beautiful description of the process. Thank you!😺
19:11 Great shot of the Cal Fire plane!
Praying for your safety. Extremely informative and interesting video. Scary crazy
Captain's puttin' in work!

Fontucky!!!Great place!
nice video!
Good news coverage.
Nice job this is why you don’t liter when a fire happens it makes it 10 x harder for the fire fighters
Awesome footage and commentary. Thank you... Do you fireman every run into any snakes?
❤❤❤
Most people probably think "fighting 🔥 with 🔥 " is a metaphor. Nope, literal.
💕💛💙
Why don't you have automatic sprayers on the trucks to where you can control it from inside the truck like they do with airports there's no reason you guys can't do that you'll save a lot of man time outside
Man i wish i could do this.
I live in OK dam may God be on your side it's demons Vs water
I live near tose mountains.
So, it was a controlled fire? And it was most likely an intentional fire started by them so they can practice. It's windy and it's cold not fire season. It's a drill for them.
No it was NOT a controlled fire. They use controlled fire as a tool to fight the wild fire. It was NOT for training, Not for practice. It was the real thing, and these guys are saving real property.
@@railfan439 strange that it was a wild fire, considering the cold temperature and the cold wind blowing.
@cr00keD100 I do. Because I know how it works is that I asked the question. Do you not know how it works? That's a legit question by the way.
Wait are you guys technically firefighters??
Just wondering where those firefighters keep their wheelbarrows? You know, the wheelbarrows they use to carry their huge balls around with?
Awesome job. It's fascinating to watch these guys work. The people who dump that garbage need their asses kicked
Man, it must be so frustrating to those firefighters to have so many conspiracy theorists questioning their hard work.
Was there a fire today? Thought I saw a cloud of smoke near corona/norco area
Not that I know of but anything is possible.
This fire was a while ago.
@@chuckstith838 I actually saw one from the mountain yesterday. Looked like it got out quick maybe a commercial building fire
Time to backfire! Don't have to worry about being cold in that conflagration!
It's sad to see all the garbage on the side of the road.
Constructing line down hill.. Watch out
Who said you can't use fire fight fire.
Lol the amount of times I've seen people spraying out a burn. Just let that shit consume homies! Save water for the spots.
THESE FIRES ARE TOO BIG FOR THESE PEOPLE.........
And fires like that cuz I grew up in California Southern California I've been through the fires why don't you have water trucks that can come up there and to use them too don't tell me you don't have them cuz I've seen them
waste of time a lot of FF and pumpers could go up hill with a hose and fast put it out without problems because they begin from an anchor point, the road. This would be the way we would do. We have done it quite a few times with less FF and less vehicles. Nd then move to another location.
pyromaniac paradise!😂
Worker very many ..but very slow
🙏👏🙌😇💪👍🇻🇪
Des camions inadaptés aux feux forêts. Contrairement à la France vous attendez le feu aux abords des routes plutôt que de le conbatre en pleine forêt.
Why not put out the main fire. There are resources enough, ik think. Now much more vegetation is burned.
This is a great opportunity to burn fuels as needed, gives them a great excuse to burn parts of land where it would be damn near impossible to do control burn because of the people. Another fact is the wind (weather) plays one of the biggest obstacles in containment. In order for a more full secure line you must set up defensive lines miles back in preparation for a nasty wind shift than can overnight short lines
Yeah they know so much about fighting fire that's why the whole state Burns every year
You know almost zero about California flora. You probably believe that the tumble weed is a native species.
Repent gentiles repent Israelites the Lord is almost here
This is what a biden administration looks like.
yup, gotta extinguish the blaze that the trump administration left behind
