I get asked the question a lot about which 35mm film photography camera is best to start off with. If you are new to the hobby or if you are someone that has taken film photos for years, I don't think you can go wrong with the Kodak Star Motor 35mm film camera. I have really liked this camera for a long time and cannot recommend it enough. It is a fantastic option that I think every photographer should own. Let me know in the comments what you think about the Kodak Star Motor 35mm film photography camera.

I dont know a thing about film photography but i got it on my birthday, turns out its a pretty sick camera :o
it's gonna be great to make photos for our punk rock band and to take it on festivals and stuff!
Mine was my parents old camera too, I love her couse was the camera of the family wen I was younger ❤
I used this camera in my teens to 20s. I forgot about taking the batteries out and they got corodded. I had to throw it away. I loved the camera, but sometimes it was very bad about giving people red eye.
Looks exactly like my minolta af101. Might be the same camera rebranded. I use it like i would a disposable, but without throwing it away ;)
Thank u for the video, I actually have one of these but I don't have sure if it works :(
you helped me so much!
Can you do a review on the star zoom 70 i hear it has a great lens
❤did you edit the pictures?
Good video 👍
what's your input on the kodak star 335?
Hi - I found one of these at the thrift store! I am trying to test it to see if it works - do you know if it will flash or the motor will try to advance without film in it? I have new batteries in it but I won’t want to waste the film to test
No, it won’t without the film in it.
how is kodak pro star 111 bro?
Hey, i have a so old one and i dont know If It works. How can i know?
Put batteries into the camera and if the shutter button seems to work then it is likely it works.
Damn I was testing the flash on mine, taking a bunch o picture with no film innit, and suddenly it stopped working. Im so sad, everything works, the leds and all, but when I press the shutter nothing happens!
Thanks for the video - what is the second window (to the left) on the top of the camera? not the shot counter, but the one that seems to be red and white. I have one of these cameras and can't work out what it does
It rotates to the other color when you take a picture. I think its a system to show you everything is going ok, the film is loaded correctly
Hello ! Do you have the dimensions of thé caméra please ?
Hi, what film did u use?
I can’t remember because I use so much film but I regularly use FUJIFILM 400iso so I’d say that was it. I use that one about 90% of the time. WalMart and most places online sell it.
hi! im using that film cam rn. im having trouble because it's my first time using it and im not aware if i have already finished the roll. how can i know? the shot counter goes back everytime i open up the back
When you open the back before the roll is finished it exposes the film to light which ruins the film. You cannot open the back until the roll of film is completely finished. Each roll tells you how many exposures you get and sometimes you may get a few extra depending on the type of camera, but once you load the film you need to shoot the entire roll and make sure it has completely rewound the film before opening the back. Hope this helps 🙂
@@NReluctant omg does this mean nothing will show up if i asked people to develop it?? :
@@joshuajamespagaoa5132 that is correct. You may get lucky and a few shots turn out ok but film is light sensitive and ruins if exposed to light before the development process.
@@NReluctant how about the films that are still inside the canister are they also ruined or only the film that is outside?
@@joshuajamespagaoa5132 they may be ok, it’s tricky to know until it gets developed.
