- It has been over two weeks of incessant destruction on Spain’s La Palma island.
The Cumbre Vieja volcano has been spitting lava for 22 days now. Drones have played a major role in collecting data and 3D shots of the lava and its effects. Watch this video to get an aerial view of the lava's wrath.

@@M00NCHILD57 the collapse was hard to see, the effects were clearly visible. Essentially lava pouring in large amounts creating a fast moving stream. It was an incredible sight. Afar tv on RUclips is where I watched it live. Hope this helps a wee bit.

To whoever posted this…the land created by the new lava is NOT a delta. A delta is the formation at the mouth of a river where it runs into the ocean or large body of fresh water and is created by the silt and sediment that the river drops there because it has lost the energy that carried that silt and sediment. Example: the Amazon river delta, the Nile river delta, the Mississippi River delta…What is created here by the lava is just new land mass.

So I wasn’t the only person questioning the word choice. I thought it was a translation issue, since this report is from a tv station in India.
I cannot help but wonder why the whole population have not been evacuated. Surely, there has to be the possibility of a huge earthquake which could exacerbate the volcanic eruptions and potentially split the island? I have no scientific data to predict such a catastrophic possibility, but I don't like the way that everything seems to be getting worse. Surely, if the worst case scenario doesn't happen, then it's fairly easy for the evacuated residents to return. Better to be safe than obliterated. Gerry Farry 🇮🇪

The words are very easy to understand. The lava of a volcano results in fertile farmland after a while. In the beginning the earth was not cold and empty, but glowing hot. Its only referred to as "destruction " because people want to live next to a volcano. But its really only mother Earth giving birth. And birth is not destruction. And yes people should leave as soon as possible and be safe.
