- Hey guys welcome to another video, I want to say sorry for the delay in the uploading I usually try and push out 2 videos weekly. I been busy with life and family needs which is my number one priority family. I love and appreciate all of you who support me on here as well. Soon I will be more consistent with uploading. I’m going to start my training to become a psd and tnt trainer at prime. @@Quema12 hello yes they put only into some trucks I think 300 trucks have them it’s a pause it’s a test cycle then they will get the rest of them done in the next 18-24months they said
Lumper fees is one of the biggest scams in trucking... but you don't pay for it but yet it continues... it is what it is..
Yeah I agree we bring their product and they still charge us a fee to off load it 😂 I just don’t understand why

Yes it’s at 65mph for the whole company I usually run 62mph for better fuel economy since I pay my own fuel ⛽️

@@zaybethea1823 honestly I love everything about prime I really have no complaints they keep me busy running always they also have very good equipment and it feels like a family out here. I would recommend prime to anyone I left and I came back just because I didn’t find any other companies as good as prime from the terminals to the fleet manager to the equipment I plan on driving here for a while till I head home and work local. The bad thing is the rates aren’t high but that’s all over not just at prime

Won’t make much money training. Not worth having to share your space and sleep in a moving truck
@@GV-19871 yes that’s one thing I’m thinking about sharing a truck with some random plus it’s terrible trying to sleep when truck is running hitting holes etc. I enjoy cooking meals so it wouldn’t be good to run teams since I wouldn’t have extra time to do my cooking which is a cheaper and healthier option than eating out daily 🤷♂️

Hello that’s awesome to hear brother, I would just say pay attention and get as much knowledge as possible so you’ll do great out here on your own. Mostly just see what the instructor is teaching you, get the pretrip down really well it help you on your test etc. I wish you best of luck in the CDL school great choice to make a great living in trucking brother 🙏

@@tomac6594 I’m not sure I picked my my student trained him on the pad for 2 days and hit the road it really depends on the trainer he gets. Good luck to him out there 🙏

@RunningOTR Get a NBA wash on your tractor they'll cover your chrome and wash it with a brush, Don't use the Acid(Brighter) it'll dual all your chrome over time I know this because I use to work at one myself, just trying to help you and anyone else pulling into one to save that shiny chrome 10-fo.😎

That’s for the lumper fee. We pay that when they use a 3rd party lumper service to off load the product I’m lucky even if I’m lease the company still pays the lumper fees 😀

I delivered to food performance group and then i deliver to Mclane in Ocala fl

They pay it but I pay for it with their card and I get reimbursed after on my paycheck.

Yes it’s very rewarding and there is good money in trucking especially leasing and if you buy your own truck
You should never crank your dollies all the way to the ground like that it’ll make it easier when you’re picking it up

@@RunningOTR I’ve been where I’m at for almost 25 years and 95% of our drivers never do a pre/post trip. God forbid something happens one day because they failed to do one, they’ll be trying to claim it’s the company’s fault and not their fault . 🙄
@@timtrowell1034 for sure everyone points fingers at others even though they are the ones who are lazy to do their job which is inspecting the vehicle before their drive shift. Oh well it is what it is. Sometimes I see old time drivers doing their pretrip or post trip. Which company are you at? Thanks for the support 🙏
@@RunningOTR I’m not OTR. I work for McLane Foodservice in Forest Park, GA (Atlanta). I guess I’m one of the few older guys that still do my pre/post trip. It’s not that big of a deal and in the end we’ll be glad we are doing them. Confidence in your equipment is HUGE as you well know. 👍🏻
@@timtrowell1034 ah okay I deliver there a few times. Exactly it’s not hard to do a pre and post trip to ensure your truck is in good condition and you’re safe and everyone else around you as well. You’re doing local runs to stores? I know mclane supplies a lot of gas stations etc
