Over all their packaging is a lot better then what it use to be. I have a Swiss K-31 , in July I picked up the Swiss 96/11 infantry rifle and in a few days I will have a K-11 , I still need the Swiss 1911 infantry rifle . The K is Karabiner which is carbine . On your 1891 Carcano they used gain twist rifling to help with barrel erosion . I did take mine deer hunting one year , didn’t see anything . On the Steyr M95 is it in the 8x50r or in the 8x56r caliber ?, hope you can get the yours returned for the one you wanted

We hope to add a K31 later as they are such beautiful rifles! We explain the gain twist in our M91 cavalry carbine review because we think it is so cool! RTI is very much aware of me and there was a return label waiting in my email this morning. I can’t believe they used to less with their packaging that is nuts

That K11 carbine is definitely in 7.5 swiss. It looks right, but if you ordered a full size then yeah that is wrong. Look down the barrel most Swiss rifles have some wear on the stock, but all the metal should be pretty good.

We ordered a K11. Just was confused because of the way RTI tags stuff and we know very little on the Swiss rifles. The barrel need some patches run through it but it’s good.

wonder what I'll get, as I ordered b grade m88/90 and b grade m95 rifles yesterday. I got two of the m95 carbines last year, both ended up being scrapped for parts.

We are trying to get them to send us a carbine, we have yet to order a M95 rifle but they keep sending them instead of the carbine. When you get yours in I’m interested in knowing what condition you get. We just want a m95 carbine for parts as well. Every Manlicher we’ve got so far has been the standard filthy. However the first incorrect shipment had a near immaculate M95 the second screw up the M95 was as bad as the rest.

@@BigBoyRabbit420 I have little in 1888/90 parts, so anything I get, will suffice there. I'm hoping a shootable bore on the 95, or even half good, so I can make my own Stutzen, using what remains of the others. Besides, only a memory of rifling, the actions were too worn, to be safe. Yes, bolt loaded and chambered, even locked up. However, if tilted upwards at all, a slight bump would let bolt slide back 1/4 inch. Swapping bolts yielded one that stayed closed, but hot dust/gas in face was too much. They met Mr Bandsaw.

@@BigBoyRabbit420 For Swiss, I went with Classic and chose the 96/11. In that punchy round, I need the big heavy gun, or end up on my ass. My "no handguard" carcano carbine was excellent, but best shooter/action combo from RTI, has been one of the m88/90 cutdowns. Action so smooth, it never leaves my shoulder, and eyes never off the target. I did 1-1/2 inch counterbore, and wow, great shooter.

@@charlene2400 I have no doubt when we reload for the 1888/90s we are going to get gas in our face from at least one, they are just super worn. That is a neat idea cutting them down to carbines sense we have three I believe the one im going to have to make a stock for will be turned into a carbine just for fun.

@@BigBoyRabbit420 That's what all the 8x56 m34's were, Stutzen, cut down rifles. When you shoot an m95 based rifle, for your short distances, use ladder and slider up. the notch when laying ladder down, is either 300 or 400 meters. The lowest distance notch is actually on ladder, under the slider.

Technically speaking there is no such thing as a K11. That name is an American thing referring to the 1911 K- carbine. The full size 1911 is technically the 1911 G- rifle. However the K31 is the proper model name for the K31. You do have what we call a “K11”.

Oh we enjoy gambling with RTI and here in MS there isn’t much of a collecting market. If you watch our channel the guns the host presents from pawnshop finds are normally the ONLY milsurp rifle in the store. We actually are so prominent in the weapon community that most shops will call us when milsurp comes in. So we can tell you honestly it comes like one or two rifles every few months. That’s why we are having fun expanding the collection through RTI while giving us restoration projects and challenges.

I was a bit surprised on that Swiss rifle as well.. I’m pretty sure when I looked they were not advertised in that condition. Are you thinking about rolling the dice on anything else on there? Perhaps any c grade? I also agree with their grading system, it’s quite ridiculous to be honest. The Lebel I got from them was 100% hands down a c grade rifle

    • @BigBoyRabbit420

Oh yes we are having fun gambling with RTI. We’ve ordered around 13 rifles so far and I would say half were serviceable out the box. The bore on the Swiss was not as nice as I expected either but nonetheless it is a fully functional service grade Swiss rifle for $450. We have another Gras carbine coming in today and just ordered one the the special troop carcano carbines this morning.

I wouldn't get anything from Royal Tiger if you gave it to me. From what I've seen of online video tours and personal experiences of two of my friends, they sell pure trash. They buy huge lots of litteral boat anchors, blow the dust off of them and sell them for two or three times what they're actually worth and use deceptive sales and description practices to make you tjong you're getting a better grade than tou are. When you do get anything from them it's just tossed in a cheap cardboard box with minimal packaging and no kind of cushioning and you have to end up putting massive amounts of work and money into them just to have something that's safe to shoot and forget about getting a gun that's even decent looking. They're all beat up, cracked, rusted, full of gummed up cosmoline, insects and who knows what else. Unless you want an overpriced wall hanger, forget RT as a source of milsurp, if you even get the model you ordered. They're well known for sending you whatever they want to get rid of and claim they were out of the model you ordered. Their grading system is a joke. Order a grade B and you'll get spare parts in the form of a rifle. Grade C isn't even worth being a wall hanger.

You hit all the hard points. Your totally correct. We treat them more like a milsurpers mystery box and not actually looking to get anything spectacular from them. I do have to say all their Swiss rifles are good and they DO have the cheapest prices on the Swiss rifles.
