@@rebeccamuehl2183 Gosh that stinks! It's annoying, but you probably still can use the machine if the only problem is the winder mechanism not disengaging. You could always unthread the machine and take the needle out when you're winding a bobbin if it makes you nervous.

Wish I'd seen this before adding oil to the wheel ....
Well that’s not necessarily bad, but try to keep oil off of any rubber/plastic parts.
