- The International Court of Justice's order on Friday demanding that Israel halt its Rafah offensive in Gaza is unlikely to have "any effect on the war itself", FRANCE 24's Oliver Farry said, adding that “nobody, whether they be allies or enemies of Israel, is going to intervene militarily to enforce this”. The top UN court’s ruling does however provide more ammunition to the ongoing case against Israel for genocide in Gaza, Farry said.

Will ICJ come to save Israel? Never.
Israel exists because of a UN General Assembly decision. The problem is that neither the UN (including the ICJ) have no troops and the countries that created the UN either don't want to support (UN) it or don't have the resources (UK).
I should note that according to a Cornell History Prof. who wrote "The Meaning of the VIetnam War", it's the domestic electoral politics of the US the most important force in that country's foreign policy decision ... and Biden is behind Trump!
They're not an army. Besides, the USA would veto a UN peacekeeping operation faster than you can say Jack Robinson.
No affect as the West supports IDF, it's that simple
Isolation from International Community not matter for Israel.
They can stand alone moreover they have more to offer the world in terms of science and technology compared to Islamists like Hamas
It does matter. Sanctions from the EU and other Western countries, even without the US, would crush the Israeli economy. Ireland alone is 5% of Israel's exports and it is the most likely to sanction Israel. The rich and middle-class care very much about their standard of living.
ICJ has no Jurisdiction to hear this case.why did ICJ agree to hear this case? This is the outcome.
@mahendradias1758 so not even arguing that a genocide isn't happening at this point. Zionist, folks.
Both ICC and ICJ heading to the dustbin of history.
The end result is a "conviction" without effect.
Are ICJ decisions binding? It's a real question. Thanks!
Nothing on the hostages
South Africa wasted lot of money for this ICJ case
no. ure looking at it totally wrong
It deflects attention that there were more that 27,000 murders in South Africa in 2023 and there is still dire poverty.
Offended by everthing. ashamed by nathing.
Defund ICJ. Biased Kangaroo Courts are of no value.
This brings us one step closer to Western countries sanctioning Israel.
It's correct to say that no country will intervene despite the UN Court ruling, but they don't have to. The Israeli people are standing up for themselves now, as they fight tooth and nail for the return of their loved ones in captivity. They've been patient enough with Netanyahu and his right ring government but any everyone can see that he doesn't give a curse about any of them, only his own survival and that of his family.
Why didn’t the court order Hammas to release the hostages
Than why have ICC and ICJ and need international laws, as they West do what they like and the West stop talking about any laws🎉😅👍🍺
During the two years of war in Ukraine, tens of thousands of Ukrainians have died from Russian aggression, cities and villages destroyed, and millions of Ukrainian refugees have been forced to leave their homes.
Arab countries and Palestine supported Russia and Putin. Recently, the Emirates and Saudi Arabia received President Putin with honor.
That's certainly the lie the Western corporate media is pushing, yes.
