curious as to why you wouldn't just crochet an L with the new color, rather than do one size, tie off, and start the second side? Is there an advantage to one method over the other?
Goodness, it has been a couple of months since I have made one of these, I am trying to remember why I chose that way. The less tying off is better, so if your way works without tying off - that would be really good!

Thanks for the video! I'd love to get the blank template, but for some reason, the links keep leading right back to the crochet page rather than the log cabin blog post. I didn't put a border on mine, it may be nice to do a solid double crochet border.
