I actually joined the community he created and I can say the energy is so abundant. Being around people that want you to succeed can take you to the moon. Listening to him more and more I realize where you start has so much relevance in your finish.
I’m still struggling to find my place in the tech field. I love watching these so much because I’m starting to see that cybersecurity may be the field I venture into. So inspiring ❤
I love these videos but I do think these stories can be be dangerous for someone who is watching that has no clue how the technology field operates. I myself recently got into tech starting at the low level of a Helpdesk technician and I can tell you that even that alone was a hard process. I was able to meet some great people and now I have a mentor who has been in tech for over 30 years. These videos make it seem like people just stumbled into tech and magically went from being low level entry level tech guys to making 6 figure salaries overnight and that just isn't reality. A lot of these guys leave out their educational backgrounds and any training they may have had as kids which defeats the purpose of these videos because the whole sales pitch of these videos is that you can get into tech with out any degree and without any experience and thats not really how it works. But good luck to you on your tech journey just remember to work hard and ask for jobs even if they dont pay that well always go for the experience because thats what matters most in this field.
Ya, it's rough seas out there. I've graduated in IT already and I keep getting rejected due to "insufficient" experience, whatever that is in their own "little" world. Got no reason to slack but keep upgrading. Hope GovTech can help us whoever is wanting to join.
This channel is awesome. Provides so much information to help you on your career journey. This channel in general just gave me the confidence to switch to the CS program from the business school( was already in cyber at the business school). With any luck, I’ll end up on show
This is definitely one of your best episodes, so much good knowledge on changing your thinking patterns and finding a solid mentor. Please keep ‘em coming!
I am in your Accelerator course. I have also been watching your content for a while now. All of your videos are amazing. But this one is the best I've seen! From the camera work, aesthetics, and lastly the gems and advice given! Thank you for all that you do! Everything resonated with me and the season that I am in.
Omgosh, I’m at my first remote job in tech & im literally thinking I’m going to get fired 😂😂😂 This was so good, especially regarding the mindset!!! Thanks Beez for always asking the small questions that matter!!
This conversation is worth more than Gold!🥇💎👑💸💸💰 I was in attendance at your webinar, last night...loved that too! I definitely want to be apart of your tribe. 💖♥♥💘💘💗💗💓💓❤❤👩💻🔥
Good perspective and energy in this episode! Needed to hear this as I’m up late studying for a vendor specific certification. I just got my Sec+ a month ago, but I have to keep going🙏
theres so much cap in this industry bro said his bootcamp was "just a guy in his basement", then to he "wrote the grc policies for a major institution", then in 8 weeks from the start of the bootcamp he had a 150k position in GRC to start of with barely any real world experience. Maybe im missing something cuz this just isnt adding up
The mentality of everything is CAP is unbelievable. However, I don’t know you, many will believe what rappers say in their lyrics. Why is his story so unbelievable?
@@horaceward1657 Its not that it is unbelievable because he is clearly living it but what I mean is that how theses people try to show you how they got into tech is not going to provide any value for the people like myself trying to get their first job in the industry because 99.9% of the time we wont have a mentor who can get us a job paying 150k for your first job after training us in his basement and not completing any certs or having a linkedin page (I already checked if he had one). That part is the cap im talking about
Hi Symoné, I was wondering if I can take your blueprint program in Canada. I’ve been asking and I haven’t been able to get a response on if the program is applicable to Canadians.
Depending on what part you played. Were you in logistics Transferable Skills 1. Time Management 2. Attention to Detail 3. Problem-Solving Skills 4. Communication Skills 5. Dependability and Responsibility 6. Technical Aptitude 7. Customer Service Skills 8. Stress Management Additional Steps to Transition into IT 1. Education and Training 2. Build a Portfolio 3. Networking 4. Entry-Level Positions 5. Continued Learning
Not tryna hate but he said it took 8 weeks to go from Apple to GRC. But then he said it took 8 weeks for him to find a job after finishing the bootcamp
Commenting for the post for the giveaway Thank you so much for the information you shared Beez I look forward to changing my life like you did and getting to this bag!! @symonebeez

Wow this was so valuable. Looking at my brother sitting down I said damn that’s what I want to be. The fashion, the cyber skills, the speech.
The best episode so far! This guy has a zen vibe‼️

I believe you are thinking that cybersecurity is your place mainly because it’s being shown to you a lot.

You’d be surprised how many people teach others tech skills in their basements. It’s been happening for decades now.

Hate to agree but same. But maybe this brother is just REALLY on point. So I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He does seem very sharp.
You weren't listening closely, he didn't write the GRC policy, his mentor did.
Oh ok intro!! Love this!
Coming with the improved quality
Perfect Sunday drop 😁😁😁
Augustine is definitely a deep well! Thanks for the interview!
