Hey They are organised into groups to make it easier to track and monitor numbers, for example to manage engendered animals. Also to help study evolutionary relationships. The third point, the emphasis is they are organised into groups according to their physical similarities (e.g. similarities DNA base sequences). Hope that helps clarify this topic for you
omg this actually helped a lot, my teacher was jumping between topics y12-13 recently which rly confused me but this has helped my knowledge ty hehe
