    I only wish my own instructors could have shown me this way to do this cut thank you for showing the most simple and efficient way to complete this cut

    Thank you so much for posting this! My instructor made me feel weird for switching hand positions and body positions while cutting below the occipital bone. She wanted me to cut hair her way and it made me feel uncomfortable. This gave me so much confidence and I just got my cosmetology license yesterday!

    Hiiiiii....I just wanted to say thank you so much for this video...I am a new LICENSED cosmetologist,thanks to this video!!!!!       Tammy Cottom Yea, hers was very nice and neat but make sure you do the requirements that your state requires because in TX we are suppose to cut the perimeter around the whole head with the razor first.

      I'm in KY,we don't have to use the razor at all in this state,other to just demonstrate that you know how. Nor do we have to cut the perimeter

    is this your channel Rachel snider?please make more cosmo videos,i have subbed even though you only have 2 videos about hair cos I hope for more in the future. I like to refresh my mind and learn new techniques etc as my mem is bad due to poor health and I don't ever want to forget what I was taught at cosmo school. TYSM

      This is how I was taught at Heritage. It's literally just 90 degrees from the scalp over the entire head. THERE IS no other way to teach it.

    @autrylearnnow I was told to we couldn’t use a ruler back comb at state board to measure. So any clue on if that’s true or not?

    Wait no..I was taught you use the razor up to mid ear, then continue with shears up to apex and then let down sides and continue? Ughhhh. I need help im going to state boards in less than 2 weeks I want it to be perfect
