Clever use of walk mode for a static gear change - going to use this!

To be fair, that walk mode change gear hack thing is pretty special, I'm having that.

Some kind of cap for the Specialized charger plug is a good idea too - I currently use a little zip-loc bag, but it's not as neat...

Duct tape! Cover your rear caliper with a small piece -- keeps mud and dust out
Split a longer piece and cover your battery seam. Cover the holes and slots in your bash guard in wet/muddy conditions 😉

That last tip was the best. I never would have thought about that.

I've had my quick link in the top of my air chamber on my fox fork . Probably get a few in the space even with the cap back on 👌👍

I've tried that Allen key trick for lubing the chain a few times, and I just find the key gets pushed over at an angle to the point that it's so tight I can't pull it out - and then I have to take the crank off to release it! Am I missing something??

I AM that go to man on every group ebike ride that carries everything including the sink.🤣 Spare links 5, inner tubes 3, wire cutters 1 pair, tyre patches and glue enough for everyone twice over, tyre levers, Araldite (handier than you think), roll of tape, zip ties, bungees, spare brake and gear cables 2x of each, bakes pads 2 pair my size only, spare batteries and a USB power pack, spare back light, torch doubling as spare front light, hand gel and water, nitrile gloves, mini first aid kit, spare riding glasses, quality pedal spanner plus min tool, energy gels and bars, 2 drink bottles 3 on a hot day depending on distance, mobile phone with Strava, large D lock, spare set of skewers, chain keeper, chain splitter and a freeze towel. The kitchen sink is a polythene bag taped to the handlebars when needed. Can I keep up? I don't need to as for some very strange reason they are loathe to part company with the bike store so it is generally me who dictates the pace. Mind you our average age is 75 years. 😂😂

Being a bit on the old side, the use of the word "hack" rather than the correct term "tip" was making my blood boil, right until I got to the TIP about using an Allen key in the chain ring to lube the chain. That, chaps, is f**king genius - I can almost forgive you for that ;-))
