Oh man this decklist made me so happy. I've been attempting to make mono green work for awhile now and while I have a couple renditions I enjoy seeing the top tier potential is awesome. Yet another like for my favorite archetype. Thanks for the vids Mr. Blue!
Our favorite bonnie Tyler stompyboi is back. His hair is exquisite as ever, sarcasm just as direct and to the point as the deck featured in the video. Never stop making videos you absolute legend!
The third opponent was probably trying to make an infinite mana combo with Kykar, Wind's Fury. Because arcane adaptation make the tokens both spirit and angel everytime you sacrifice one with Kykar ability to create R bishop will create another token that you can sacrifice again until you have enough mana to cast a banefire for lethal.
The arcane adaptation angel deck is a kykar, winds fury combo deck. It makes infinite mana by sacrificing spirits (angels) and then gaining infinite life
I have a similar deck and I find a good card is adventurous impulse (or bond of flourishing). It lets you run a lower land count and still not get screwed. Basically, it’s a land when you need one and a creature when you don’t. That edition made the deck more reliable for me.
I play a stompy with flash vivien and rhonas. Man that deck is so fun. Ghalta at top end. Rhonas flashed in as combat trick is everything a Timmy wants. Mono Green is finally getting love.
Hi CGB, I love your videos so much man. I think I've watched every one you've posted since i discovered your channel a few months ago. I have an unreasonable amount of fun watching, when i'm at home on my computer or on the go on my phone, I'm always watching you first. Thank you for your amazing content. I'm just wondering if there is an area I could post deck lists for you to take a look at? I can't imagine how awesome it would be to watch you possibly play a deck I've come up with.
Just wanted to tell you, I finally got to mythic using your temur elementals deck, with just a couple modifications. I always watch ya and I hope to play you more often now that I am also mythic, im at 98% so hopefully I can get on the leaderboard soon
a HAH!! so THIS is why i played against mono green for the final opponent I needed to break out of Gold tier! I managed to beat it narrowly (in bo3) with my homebrewed version of mono green that I've been playing, but looking at the decklist I probably got a little lucky.
Really good deck video right there CGB. Kinda sad to see a lot of the pieces rotating. I wish Llanowar Elves at least gets reprinted or they introduce a similar one. Arboreal Grazers are decent but are really not as good as the elves IMO.
Well, I always play mono green and I'm always mana flood/screwed, even with 18 lands (I think going to 20 will help a bit) 🤷♂️ The shuffler/match pairing doesn't like me much 😂😂
@@MelficeN7 Of course I don't have statistical records, but there are many strange phenomena. Like having 1 Field of ruin in the deck and it shows up in 4 out of 6 starting hands every day. Or when playing 2 colours, e.g. Rakdos, you either get swamps OR mountains in your starting hand 90% of the time. Or that the lands/spells quota of your starting hand stays the same for the next 20 or so cards. Got 24 lands in the deck and 4 lands on the starting hand? Then you will draw over 50% lands for the next 20 cards. Kept a 1 lander? You'll never see a 3rd land in that game. I also played paper M:TG and Arena feels like an "undershuffled" deck. I don't know if the software simulates the whole deck or just generates the cards you draw. But I wish there was a way to manually influence the number of shuffles before the game starts.
@@gfhjkfghj4208 It would be great if we could "order" the cards at the deck creation, like I used to do back then with my RG deck (4 piles of 15 cards, ordered like land/creature/spell, etc) Never had a mana problem, even if an opponent shuffled my cards like a madman 😂😂
I really hope new Viv doesn't run up in price now when this deck came that far. I haven't collected mine yet hehe. I always try to build mono colored decks for each rotation and I think she is a must for green.
I am still fan of the old dino tribals. Naya dinosaurs with Altisaur and awakening sun, actually won me many games. Also classic enrage with raging regisaur and needletooth raptor is the strongest variant imo. A friend of mine made "the meta dinos" which are played rn and I destroyed him with my classic enrage. One game he even played 2 ghaltas and I wrecked them with needletooth procs. Like this jund deck, my naya dinos, and my grul enrage dinos, the jund one is the weakest of the 3... Right now I am waiting for some trapjaws, to modify my enrage and make it naya ( which will become slower and weaker but more fun )... The main problem of dino decks is the control and the jund one is still weak against it which is why I don't understand why people are playing it unlike the other versions. Maybe I am missing something...
It’s all real magic, it’s okay if bo1 isn’t your idea of magic. My channel is mostly about the decks, less about the plays, and I am sure you can design sideboard strats for my bo1 shenanigans if inspired enough
At minute 9 you have plenty of land but you put one down , why ? That way your hand was empty ? Basic rule , keep a card in your hand, that way people doubt.
No offense, but I have a lot of trouble watching your videos. You're quick to the rude judgments despite displaying glaring flaws frequently. One of the major ones being that you make predictions about possible cards the opponent will play despite the opponent having already done something to contradict your prediction. Breathe. Ease up and acknowledge the obvious cues. Don't talk just to talk.
I see CGB I click. I see Green, I click even faster.
Turn 1- Forest - Arboreal Grazer - Forest. Turn 2 - Forest - Blanchwood Armour. That's a turn 2, 3/6 creature with reach that's ready to attack. You really can't fault green.
ive always been a fan of green stompy since ive started mtg

Feels good, I knew that Vivian had potential
I love Vivian, when she and Nissa team up on the board together, it's go time !!
finally no dual lands lol. something budget 😂😂😂
Just wanted to tell you, I finally got to mythic using your temur elementals deck, with just a couple modifications. I always watch ya and I hope to play you more often now that I am also mythic, im at 98% so hopefully I can get on the leaderboard soon
I haven't played mtgo in years, but would people say that mana floods \ screws happen far less often there compared to Arena?
thank you for the 5% code, updated several commanders
Ah, that explains why I've been seeing this deck all the sudden
It's good to see the simic flash deck being beaten like this on the play
well... to be fair, the opp missed some land drops
m20 opened things up sufficiently, that you can basically run any archetype you want right up to diamond, or platinum at the very least.

*WE STOMPY NOW BOIS*
You knoe that moment when your favorite yojruber had liked two of your comments in a row
Make it three
nice deck
This might shock you but I played CGB over the weekend and he was playing mono Red :)
Whhhhhhaaaaaattttt?

It's not just you, the shuffle algorithm is utter garbage. Definitely the worst part of Arena.
I feel your pain whenever I play 26 land Grixis control my first hand is nearly always a two lander without card draw or azcanta.
@@gfhjkfghj4208 Do you have any arguments for what the shuffler is bad? I mean concrete data no just feelings.

Not sure about in mythic yet but watched this vid today and climbed with this deck from gold 4 to diamond 4 with only two losses

I am not a mtg financial genius but I don’t believe Vivien has the potential to skyrocket in price based on the mana cost and narrow application
Most of the times this deck works so well, but it needs that finale, I think, its just so good and flexible
What makes this a stompy deck?
The 4 Vivien Arkbows I guess
My favorite STOMPS

For every thumbnail you should switch the planswalker’s face with yours. It’s your next big step to fame
I litteraly just got beat by this deck while trying to get mythic

Should've optimized the sideboard first
Meh

Basic rule - smart people see through such a basic rule - but you can do that if you like, I am over it
The latest update messed with land gen balance me thinks!
I never liked mono green much. If it does its thing well, it’s awesome, but when it doesn’t, there doesn’t seem to be much middle ground.
!bully
lots of elephant puddles in the zoo
Automatic dislike for Nissa.
