These Cade tanks are so beautiful. So excited to see them at AquaH UK. Kris what an incredible tank 🙌. This would be a dream reef tank for me. Perfect setup and the livestock are thriving. Thanks for sharing on YT. Cracking video guys 👍
He’s absolutely nailed it hasn’t he!!
@@ParkersReef some real talent in Aus reef keeping. I agree he's nailed it 🙌🔥🔥.
@jaysrealreefuk we’re just scratching the surface :)
Thanks
Cracking reef. Well done Kris. Love seeing the output of following a method fully. The proof is in the pudding.
Spot on, doubled down and rode it out and is now enjoying the results
Amazing tank, amazing reefer. Thank you so much for this one Sam.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!!
Beauty of a tank Kris well done & keep up the amazing work, great video Sam Pat on the back 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you for sharing Kris's magical world under the sea! 😍
Thanks for watching!!
Man! He is doing great! Cade tanks are amazing 👌🙌👏✌
Doing amazingly well!!!
Just beautiful ! Keep up the great work, Kris . Thanks for for sharing.
Thanks Antonio!
Great video. This tank has come a long way. This is great for new hobbyists to see. It shows how if you battle through the rough parts a great tankbis on the other side. Really great job.
Very true, good things come to those who persevere
Great video Sam! And Kris, thank you for sharing your beautiful reef with us again!
Thanks mate!
Thank you!
Im not usually a sps guy, but wow! Maybe the nicest and cleanest sps tank I have seen
It’s pretty amazing hey!!
Thanks a bunch!
Stunning, well done.
He's done an incredible job!
I’m here for Kris and his absolutely gorgeous reef !

Great job Kris and Sam, your tank is my motivation mate.
Thanks mate!!
Great to hear!
So clean, so nice
Clean as a whistle!!
Great video! Now I want a blue stag😅
haha yeah, it is a reef tank staple in my mind!
Everything looks amazing and everything is so hairy ❤🎉🎉🎉
Looks a treat doesn’t it!
Very nice!!
Yours coming up soon!!
@@ParkersReef definitely Sam, got a few more goodie’s to slap onto it, Then we are ready to go 😃
Absolutely Beautiful. I am ordering a Cade tomorrow. Forgive me if this is answered later in the video as I’m only several minutes in. How are the vortech’s on the rear wall, aren’t the “dry sides” under water?
You’ve probably seen by now, but Kris doesn’t use the top off water reservoir in the back of the tank, so he can fit the dry sides in there :)
The ATO 72L, I’ve found them to be great when also dosing kalk via seperate container I get around 2 weeks out of mine which I think is pretty decent.
Wow, 2 weeks?! That’s pretty solid, most I know find the case reservoir to be about enough for six days (and that’s before kalk dosing!)
@@ParkersReef yea that’s about what I get without kalk as well.
Salinity creeps up because of the 2part. Sodium chloride (NaCl aka table salt) is left after the calcium chloride and sodium carbonate is added to the system. Balling method is the way to counter this.
That’s correct, however that’s not the only way to solve it :)
Balling also raises salinity as do all macro element supplementation systems that add Calcium (Calcium Chloride - CaCl2 - Salt) Magnesium (Magnesium Chloride - MgCl2 - Salt) and Alkalinity (Sodium bicarbonate - NaHCO3 - Salt). There is no supplementation system of this type for dosing Ca, Mg and Alkalinity that doesn’t raise salinity without serious risks. TRITON Core7 is an advanced and highly evolved version of the original Balling Method with many additional benefits for those using the Full TRITON Method.
Absolutely amazing tank just wanted to know where did you purchase the radion shades from
Thanks
A bloke here in australia prints them
Does he sell them ? If so how do we get in touch @ParkersReef
hey sure does. Has a facebook page under the name of "Fat man reefing"
Great tank Kris! Kris your chromis are dying because of aggression. If you get more, at least 15 to spread the aggression you should have better success.
Sam great content mate!
Thanks mate!!
Thanks for the tip!
@@torquayreef welcome! Beautiful tank btw.
Amazing tank. Where did you get those shades for your Radions?
A guy here prints them. He goes by fat man reefing :)
Beautiful tank! What type of clownfish is that Kris?
It is a barrier reef anemonefish (Amphiprion akindynos)
It’s gorgeous isn’t it!
@@torquayreef Thanks!
@@ParkersReef Indeed!
Ok I think in minute 42 you indirectly answer my question. The 3 vortech’s are in the ATO reservoir which you are not utilizing.
You got it 👍🏻
@@ParkersReef thanks. That is actually a very good idea albeit a waste of Cades fantastic design. I hate wires in the tank. So often I see the most incredible reef tanks and then big ugly vortech’s and wires are on outside of side panels. Going down a rabbit hole here but I wonder what ever happened to the popularity of closed loops.
closed loops are still awesome, just not really viable on a smaller scale. They work well on huge systems, like 2500l or bigger in my opinion. Otherwise you end up with a lot of extra plumbing cluttering your sump space.
On larger systems they are really viable now with some fantastic developments in pumps since their popularity. Check out the video I did recently on the triton method which also showcases their new display tank which has some really nifty closed loop pumps
Seeing a bare bottom always makes me question should i have done sand? 😅 mabye my next big crash ill break it all down and go bare bottom. Not sure if im ready for a new learning curve just yet 😅
Would like to see this chap send his water out for Biology analysis. Im curious about what type and how much bacteria or micro organisms live inside
yeah when you see a clean bare bottom setup like this, it sure is tempting!!!
It's not something we have yet in Australia, but I am sure a heap of reefers here would love to see it
Beautiful tank well done! With the dosing is it 150ml a day or a week?
I think that’s a day, but will wait for Kris to reply :)
150ml per day
I really have to look into this Triton method. Also where can I get those magnetic shrouds for the radion xr15s I really need to block that light ?
Yeah I reckon it’s a good approach!!
The 3d printed light shades were from a guy called “fat man reefing” on Facebook here in Aus
There is a fully automated CO2 supply device "EG-302".
What would we need that for?
Incredible tank and really great selection of both coral and fish. Well done 👍
It's a beautiful setup!
That acro looked like a purple plasma
Could be! Have not heard that name before!!!
How’s your tank going Sam?
It’s doing its thing, ticking along. Update to come in the short term future
What was the spectrum approach ?
I think it was AB+ from the ecotech default options?
How does he have his ato setup? I have a cade 2100 and have float in rear for ato fill from rodi but I was thinking of moving wavemakers to the back wall. Adam from cade did just say for magnets to put them in a ziplock bag and then put them in the freshwater section
We just went to a ATO with a peristaltic pump and had the reservoir located externally. Works a treat and frees that section of the tank up
@@ParkersReef Thanks. I always look forward to your videos
I'd guess that he struggles with torches due to the lack of nutrients!
Certainly possible!
Damn that bare bottom is clean.
Clean enough to eat off!!
pH 8.3~8.7 with no Kalk?? Better calibrate your pH probe.
I think Kris calibrates his probe regularly
@@ParkersReefDefinitely not knocking his beautiful reef and wonderful content as always Parker. I’ve just never heard of anyone running Triton with an elevated pH higher than 8.2. Let alone 8.7? This is Kalk slurry territory or even potassium hydroxide. Genuinely curious how he is reaching a peak of 8.7
@@todd3024 I calibrate my probes every 6 months and I am very careful with the process.
But you could be right. Hard to tell
@@todd3024 my PH is constantly at 8.4 and I don't dose kalk or PH plus etc, I calibrate my probe every 3 months and have ICP tests every 2 months
