Mike, you're the reason i hopped back to my dream of becoming an electrician and joined the union.
I lost my grandpa 3 weeks ago and seeing your dad's garage reminds me so much of my grandpop. My heart goes out for you man. So glad to see you are alright, and I so am looking forward to hearing from you again.
It's so hard, but stay strong man.

Sorry for your loss. Your dad’s garage looks like a replica of my grandfathers (master mechanic), grew up during the depression...never threw anything out. I’m from a long line of tradesmen and a licensed EC myself now. Owe it all to men like your dad, too much pride to not fix everything yourself. Lol. Always something fun going on in the shop. Funny thing is maybe someday your own son will be posting about your garage. Life is all too damn short, enjoy the ride and be good to everyone. Thanks for posting..

LOL Love the digging into the piles of crap. I had a similar junk drawer of cables, including a caller ID box like that one at 14:30 Tossed it all out during the city electronic recycling week. Do the tour of the old shed.

Mike - See that red-handled hacksaw? If you shake it and something rattles, it’s the spare blade(s) in the blade storage compartment! Follow the rear of the saw up past the handle. See the screw in the end? Undo it a turn or so and the red plastic part under it slides down to reveal the spare blades, complete with rubber or foam bumper inside to keep them from banging back and forth too much. Great tension adjustment knob and excellent angle posts for mounting the blades on an angle. Mine broke a few years ago (the plastic part holding in the blades, of course) and I went and got a replacement from Sears (Craftsman) and the replacement has an awesome, easy-to-use tension adjustment and is much sturdier than my old one. Same kind of blade posts to mount on an angle, but no spare blade storage! :( Oh, well, you can’t have it all I guess. As for Dad’s tools, I still have the old Yankee push screwdriver in the original cardboard box my father left behind. Never use it but I just can’t sell it. What can I say?

RIP to your Dad my man :-(

Man this video had me rollin. “The first Workbench I’ve ever driven a screwdriver through” and the steering wheel shower head drawer 😂 I’m sorry for your loss. My dad hasn’t been well since his stroke. It’s tough to watch. You can tell a lot from a mans shop. Those planes look like they are in great shape. Most of the wooden ones that old are beat to hell. It was great seein ya back again. Just wish it was under better circumstances.

I thought that dewalt drill was brand new from the thumbnail. Sorry for your loss and thanks to your dad for his service. Watching this reminded me a lot of my mom and grandpa they were pack rats and didn’t like to throw things away and I found a similar cord drawer. I try my best not to be like that and just throw shit away when it needs to.

Sorry to hear about your dad, Mike. I've been going through a double cancer issue with my mother lately. She's had the surgery so for the moment she's clear but still has drains in. But I've been an absolute space case lately because of all the stresses. My focus is just for shit lately. I just had a random feeling today I should check in on your channel. I look forward to seeing the shop tour. I've been watching a lot of those today for some reason.
Your dad at least tried to fix things. He probably learned as he took things apart, as we all did before YT. As my late father (WWII vet) would say: Chin up, kiddo!
