A lot of Blackjacks after they saw XG's cover of I Am The Best at K-Con LA 2023 on RUclips have said that XG reminds them of 2NE1. The fancam video of the performance has over a million views.
During their trainee days, they trained at the YG HQ in Korea, so many thought it was a new YG group pre-debut. But it was only to get training from YG's team. XG is carving their own path and genre called "X-Pop". XG's lore is that they are "Galactic Wolves" traveling the universe conquering planets. So almost all videos and songs have some of that lore in it. 🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥 ALPHAZ ON DECK! For dancing, check out Hesonoo & Xgene performance video or GRL GVNG Dance practice.
Nah, they never trained at YG HQ. The only YG connection they had was renting one of the studios to shoot MOVE #1. The connection to YG was just as lot of assumptions by people, that at one point had gotten so bad that YG had to issue an official statement that they had nothing to do with them. 90% of their time as trainees was in Japan, until they moved into the XGALX Studio in mid-2021.
I adore these girls! I say this a lot but XG is fierce on stage then humble and hilarious off stage. They love what they do and have fun doing it. The girls also have a surprising amount of input on makeup, costume and their songs. Lyric wise for the raps the tape series has complicated rhyme schemes, doubles and reference. Maybe for the next XG reaction you could do the MV and then the fixed dance practice. Awesome reaction!🐺🛸👽
the last time we have seen cocona, in December, her hair was a shorter version of eminem in slim shady era. who knows how long it is now, we won't see the updated hair length until February when they ramp up on the tour again or maybe before if they release anything
'Howling' and 'Woke Up' both have choreo only MVs, which I recommend. Also.... The XG Tapes showcase the 4 rappers. The XG Vox's showcase the 3 singers. The XG Move's showcase their dance skills They mix hip-hop and pop really well. I suggest 'Shooting Star' next. It was their comeback that made me an AlphaZ (fandom)! 👊🐺✌️
If you wanna see XG dance then you can start with their MOVE series or any of their dance practice or performance videos. People are already starting to dub them as the queens of synchronization because of their incredible chemistry and the fact that the group has no weak dancers.
Hi. After I watched this reaction I decided to watch your first XG reaction for Howling and caught what you said about the type of music that you like. I think you’re going to like XG. The 2 songs you’ve reacted to are some of their newest and represent their growth. They’re still a fairly young group since their 2022 debut. Their major breakout hit was in early 2023 called Shooting Star and if you react to it next I think you’ll be able to understand their progression better. Also, to everyone’s surprise they dropped a B side that same day called Left Right that stunned everyone. I don’t want to spoil anything but I think both these songs will hit your wheelhouse. And both have multiple dance and choreography vids too.
Thank you for a wonderful reaction, XG For Life. ❤🐺 Suggest First Take Winter Without You (Christmas/R&b) Left Right (Think TLC) Shooting Star (This started their rise was their 3rd song) In the Rain (R&b off new album my favorite song by them) Is this Love (R&b/Pop off new album) New Dance (Pop/Dance) Hesenoo+XGene (Dance Performace/Rap) this should get you started hope to see you more.
@Alexa I see from your bio you’ve been a KPop fan since around 2011. 2nd Gen. Have you ever heard of a group called DMTN, also know as Dalmatian. The founder of XGALX, and XG’s muse Simon was one of the members.
@ yep. I had a feeling you’d have been into them. I came onto the KPop scene a bit later than you but I think we have some similar tastes. I’m gonna guess you liked 2NE1 and Miss A. And BigBang, although you may not have vibed with them as much since they were already well established. Not sure about Mamamoo. They may not hit as hard as you say you like.
K-pop fans see a bunch of Asian girls in a group doing rap and hip hop and immediately go, "Yup, it's YG." However, they can not tell that the two groups have huge differences by reading the lyrics or their rap delivery. Because they don't have a lick of knowledge of what rap and hop hop culture is.
Wow and you know all these K-pop fans personally? Or are you basing that off of assumptions because how does that make you any different? Also there are Asian K-pop fans....a little bit of the pot-kettle situation don't you think?
The long version.... K-pop = Korean Popular Music. Music made by Koreans and/or sung In Korean marketed to Koreans. J-pop = same except Japanese A lot, I mean a lot of people seem to think that K-pop is a genre. K-pop is NOT a genre! POP is the genre. XG is unique since they are Japanese but ONLY sing in English on official tracks. They call it global, but basically, it's just Western pop or, more specifically, hip-hop and R&B! No K or J necessary. If anyone were to hear XG on the radio, not a single person would describe them as Korean-pop! A majority of the people (western reactors) see Asians and automatically assume they are Korean since Korean pop is so popular in the West ATM. What gets me mady is when I inform the reactor they aren't K-pop, someone in the comments will argue with me that they are K-pop. They'll say, but they trained in Korea or that they promote in Korea. WTF? Since when did training and promoting have anything to do with the type of music they produce? The short version... XG = Xtraordinary Girls X-pop = Xtraordinary pop
As someone who is studying to get a PhD in media, I disagree K-pop can in fact be a genre, so can J-pop, basically any type of music that creates a set of rules or predictability around form, style, and subject creates a genre....now I don't think XG falls into the K-pop or J-pop genres after listening to these first two songs. X-pop isn't technically a genre, but it is now, because of XG and it is possible in the future that other groups will fall into this genre. I don't think anyone means any disrespect when it comes to calling something K-pop or J-pop, especially when all artists put in so much work and effort into their craft
You love 2NE1 and dancing, here it is XG cover 2NE1 I am the best -> ruclips.net/video/_ruhuOiq4V4/видео.htmlsi=qkgEj-CF_PO5ZALQ XG look up to their seniors 2NE1 and I've seen many many 2NE1 fans supporting XG because.. well, you watch some more XG and decide for yourself. New sub for future XG reactions, thank you.
REACT to SHOOTING STAR or IM THE BEST (cover 2NE1, 2023) It's the concept that I like the most If you like the concept 'Girl Crush' you can react to MASCARA-XG If you like the concept "Cute" you can react to IYKYK-XG

Love when OG Kpop fans discover XG🙌🏽 much love 🌕🐺
k-pop refers to the label and genre. They are Japanese and belong to Avex in Japan.🐺🐺🐺

I don't think they were trained by YGs team. That wouldn't make sense. Why would YGs team train their literal competition?
Nah they were never trained by YG. Fans just made assumptions because Move 1 was filmed in YGs studio and XG sounds like YG.
I would also suggest XG- Something Ain't Right and IYKYK.
XG are currently aged 19-23 as we speak.
23. Chisa, Hinata, Jurin and Harvey were born in 2002
@@goodfella1401 Yeah my bad jumping the gun a bit. I forgot Jurin, Harvey, Hinata are all still 22.

XG like Enhyphen is gonna perform at Coachella this year on the main stage and even The Grammys think that this will be the year that XG blows up.

LESSS GOOO
X-Pop
Artist and idol are two concepts. XG is a graduated artist.
If you wanna see XG dance then you can start with their MOVE series or any of their dance practice or performance videos. People are already starting to dub them as the queens of synchronization because of their incredible chemistry and the fact that the group has no weak dancers.

XG- Left Right and Undefeated (Performance Video) to see XG's dancing.
XG- Winter Without You (The First Take) and In The Rain to see their Vocals.
Maximum the Hormone's "Maximum the Hormone" "え・い・り・あ・ん" is super hard and unique, and their other songs are great as well.
Thank you for a wonderful reaction, XG For Life. ❤🐺 Suggest
First Take Winter Without You (Christmas/R&b)
Left Right (Think TLC)
Shooting Star (This started their rise was their 3rd song)
In the Rain (R&b off new album my favorite song by them)
Is this Love (R&b/Pop off new album)
New Dance (Pop/Dance)
Hesenoo+XGene (Dance Performace/Rap)
this should get you started hope to see you more.
🇯🇵❤
