For a vampire playthrough I highly recommend Bat Travel. Not only does it let you mark several custom points, and instantly fast travel with less impact on in game time (normal FT could take you 6h BT takes less than 2). But you can also turn into a cloud of bats and fly around freely to reach places you couldn't before.
i had a 300+ playthough with the flying plus draconic aspect and no fast travel. i just cant state how satisfying it is to be able to fly and it really feels immersive plus powerful! it is balanced by the fact you can just use the shout once per day. And not only that but it has a good use time! IMO it just makes the dragonborn dlc ending so rewarding that you guys should really try it out yourselves!

I want an "I'm Batman" mod. Where you can find Batman randomly fighting crime in one of the holds. He'll be using a heck of alot of bat themed magic items to grapple, fly, and otherwise be the coolest thing ever.
This is exactly the sort of mod list I've been looking for. One of the things I miss most from my Morrowind days is how travelling was handled, with various methods of increasing convenience that you found throughout your playthrough.
The more draconic dragon aspect mod is fantastic but it's very buggy. You can easily clip through the ground if you're not careful and fast flight between certain loading cells can cause crashes during the late game. It also requires a lot of prerequisite mods that can clash with other unrelated mods. All said I would still recommend it though.
Clipping is issue of all flying mods, because they have to partially remove it. I never had a crash from loading cells, and I play on potato, maybe try to fix your settings.
lol bethesda games "my friend died :( " *casually works around corpse that just sits there for eternity.* Once I had a street in Windhelm just full of corpses. There were no flippin guards left. Everyone's like whatever. At least in Morrowind you could remove corpses without a mod, if simple.
i think the spot you sit mounted on the dragon is a bit ridiculous, the more safer and logical choice would be to sit further back so that all the neck movements the dragon is doing doesnt look like its tryin to toss you
For those on the Special Edition, I made a discovery. There is actually a wayshrine mod, and I actually like it even more than the wayshrine mod depicted here in terms of the wayshrines themselves. It just gives you a random quest that sends you to a random boss level chest, so the quest isn't as in-depth as what is shown here, but there is a quest that teaches you the same spell that the Snow Elves of the Forgotten Vale use to activate the wayshrines there, and the wayshrines function pretty much identically to the wayshrines in Dawnguard. You are given several portals along the walls of the wayshrine that lead to nearby towns or cities to the wayshrine you are at. You can still teleport across Skyrim, because all you have to do is chain the wayshrines to the location you want to go to. For example, if you're in Markarth and you want to go to Winterhold, you would first go through to the Rorikstead wayshrine, then Whiterun, then Dawnstar or Windhelm, then Winterhold (Or any other combination that takes you from point A to point B really). There are wayshrines near every town, village, or otherwise important location (Like High Hrothgar or Fort Dawnguard). www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3045/?
SKSE64 is taking a while to develop, I hope it actually comes out. It would be nice to get some news from the SKSE team now that it's past their estimated release window by a few weeks...
forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5206865-wipz-skyrim-script-extender-skse64/page-36#entry48873882 That's the announcement of the delay on the nexus forums.
Its out in Alpha now if you are still interested, and its a huge task to make SKSE64 cause they had to rewrite most of the mod. Just be happy they are still willing to put in the time and effort to finish it. :)
Convenient Horses is my fave horse mod. Often bc you can customize the followers horse armor and pick what breed of horse for them too. Plus you can make your horse have a lot of health or pick how the speed is. Even make them essential or not. I've had no bugs with it at all. Its the best one for me. I can't play Skyrim without it.
If you're a vampire lord you can use the "Bat Travel" mod. It lets you travel to each of the major holds, Castle Volkihar, some Solsthiem areas, and a couple of custom locations. It also has a mark-recall function too.
One of my favourite fast travel mods is Bat Travel, which adds two powers to vampire lords - one is turning into a cloud of bats, and being able to fly around as them, and the other is an instant travel to hidden or secluded areas of cities/towns. It also allows you to travel to 5 of your own waypoints, handy for jumping from player house to house
There's another version of SWIFT called Wayshrines of Tamriel. It works in much the same way, except for a few key differences. While you are still following the work of a scholar, now you only need to track down a spell that spawns randomly somewhere in the game (including locations added by other mods,) then you use the spell to activate the wayshrines, much as you do in the Forgotten Vale. The best part about this mod is that you cannot necessarily just travel from one city to another, you will probably need to walk some and travel through several wayshrines to get from one place to another. For example, to go from Sky Haven Temple to High Hrothgar, you need to walk to Karthwasten and then travel through no less than three wayshrines.
I love "Blaze of Evertide." But what I used most other than fast travel is a mod that gives more vampire powers and since i love role playing as a vampire (i always choose that side in dawnguard) it's perfect. What it does is give you a power thats called "Cloud of Bats" and it turns you into well... a cloud of bats and you just fly across skyrim. The mod is called "Bat Travel Vampire Power" for anyone that might play similar to me and want to download the mod.
A few of these mods are going on my list! That carriage mod I didn't care for; but I'll be looking into the Wayshrine and ferry mods, they look worth having.
My best friend who has been watching this channel for at least a year only just found out this channel is run by two brothers. She is in shock, obviously didn't get the whole Bro-Dual thing 😆
Wayshrines is Perfect for one main reason, It goes to High Hrothgar. Now I'm fine with disabling fast travel entirely because I'm not going to have to climb up that mountain to get there every time I want Arngeir to tell me where a word wall is, or just three thousand times in the main quest.

Say what you will about The Elder Scrolls Online, they had a good fast travel mechanic. Because they were only in set locations it limited how many places you could fast travel to which allowed for more exploration and walking the Tamriel wilderness, As well if you fast travel somewhere from a random area on the map it would cost a small gold fee which would make players in the early game consider walking instead.
This is for skyrim not skyrim special edition, for those of you wondering. the convenient horses and dragon aspect mods are not for special edition. I am unsure about the others
In previous games the Mages Guild offered Teleportation services to anyone with enough coin, obviously the Mages Guild isn’t around to do that anymore and even if they were somehow I doubt they would have much of a presence in Skyrim but do you know who does have a presence in Skyrim? Court Wizards, last time I checked every major hold in Skyrim has a Court Wizard so why not make one of the Benefits of becoming a Thane be that the Court Wizard of the Hold will offer to Teleport you to any of the other Major Holds? Not only will this give you an immersive form of Fast Travel but it will also give players more incentive to become the Thane of every Hold.
I honestly can't decide anymore. With fast travel I have multiminute load screens because my computer is terrible and I've modded it to no end and have massive saves. Without everything takes far more time than I have.
Can't wait for SKSE64, and I so hope that T3nd0 will update Perkus Maximus. If he does then I intent to instantly acquire SSE and those mods. It's gonna be good. Perkus Maximus is my nr1 essential mod for Skyrim, can't do without it.
