Jodie Auckland Whittaker (born 17 June 1982) is an English actress. She came to prominence in her 2006 feature film debut Venus, for which she received British Independent Film Award and Satellite Award nominations. She was later praised for her roles in the cult science fiction film Attack the Block (2011), the Black Mirror episode "The Entire History of You" (2011), and as grieving mother Beth Latimer in Broadchurch.
On 16 July 2017, the BBC announced that Whittaker would become the thirteenth and first female incarnation of The Doctor[1] in the British TV series Doctor Who. She formally assumed the role from Peter Capaldi in the 2017 Christmas special episode "Twice Upon a Time" when Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor regenerated into Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor. Whittaker appeared in her first full series as The Doctor in the eleventh series, which premiered in October 2018. She continued in the role in the twelfth series in 2020. On 22 January 2020 Whittaker announced that she would reprise her role as the Thirteenth Doctor in the thirteenth series of the sci-fi show

Absolutely agree Dom. Just try to remember that there are way more Jodi fans then haters. The haters just have no life and spend all day hating and making fake accounts on the internet. I suggest you block the trolls. Don't forget that RUclips feeds sexist and racist trolls with hate vids directed at any show or movie with female or non-white leads. They attached Captain Marvel, Star Trek Discovery, Star Wars (literally tried to ruin SW actress Kelly Marie Tran's life.) And they attack Doctor Who. RUclips loves the hate because it keeps people watching videos longer and brings in more ad revenue. If you look it up you learn that their algorithm is not to recommended videos you might actually want to see but ones they think will keep you online the longest. They have driven people in droves to conspiracy videos and hate videos. But on The other hand look at the official Doctor Who videos on there. You will see thousands of thumbs up to a few hundred thumbs down. There is way more love than hate out there for Doctor Who and we have to fight against these loud trolls. They have no right to slander and try to make our show fail with their lies.

I like her as an actress but her take on Doctor Who was off IMO. She failed to connect with most of the fan base.
Chibnall's appalling writing, of course, is also a major factor in the deterioration of the show.
I absolutely love her as the doctor, the writing isnt the best but shes great. I love a female doctor because it gives representation to all those young girls that grew up on doctor who. Females and stuck with the side characters we can be the main.
