  • Ed Beaulieu discusses the features and benefits of Aquascape's wetland filtration system. Wetland filters play an important role in pond ecology and help improve water quality and appearance. Using a Snorkel Vault and Centipede module, you can build an effective and efficient wetland filter for any type of water feature. www.aquascapein...

    just curious how much energy is required to pump water under the pond to slow down the the velocity?

    Ed where is the pond placed. Do you have a video of the tubing entering the wetland?

    Ed, do you have a formula for choosing a pump for a pond with wetland filtration? I assume it would be a less powerful pump than you would choose for a typical pond with a skimmer and waterfall.

      I tend to use one pump, that will feed the main waterfall and then divert some of the water into the wetland filter as you don't want to high as flow down there. Your starting point should be a powerful enough pump to give the overall flow you want, and preferably one with variable flow control. With a wetland filter pond you still need a skimmer or intake bay to remove solids such as leaves.

    Do you have Partners that sell your Products in Europe? I couldnt find any provider with a similar sophisticated wetland filter system.

    I would to try this in India. Is your system available in India?

      You can build them in India, you can use drainage equipment if you cannot get hold of Aquascapes products

      Creative Cascades so PVC pipes should work right. I guess I will need to punch multiple holes for the water to travel up.

    I wonder can you use the wetland like an aquaponics system

    • @creativecascades1328
      @creativecascades1328 4 года назад

      Yes, you can grow all sorts of plants and produce in a wetland, but always be mindful of avoiding plants that are too vigorous and can take over!

    are there specific plants that are better filters than others? are there some that are imperative for this type of system?

    • @MrPanthalaimon
      @MrPanthalaimon 6 лет назад +2

      Daizee Does It Yes, there are sime plants that are better then others, but it is more important to reduce water speed to appropriate level. Also wetland constructiin depends on the type of wastewater(industry, sewer, etc)

    How is it that the rippling affect is created as water exits wetlands since it’s just percolating up? Are the rocks grated on a slant? How does that work?
