God said no other figure than himself should be adored. The Virgin and many other figures (even important) should not be adored in such manner. Nor payed tribute in this fashion. Catholic churches, having statues and images of them, are commiting herecy.

I think this episode is reason enough. Furthermore, we can note that God gives men the Ten Commandments in the Old Testament, while the Templars, like all Christianity, understood as Catholicism, basically venerate the New Testament.

That person talked about science, and when I said that God did not exist, the person told me that God does not need to exist, because it was God who created the concept of existence. For all those unfamiliar with the chants, the "ora pro nobis" one, is actually meant to be a 'conversation', not a 'monologue'. The master, in this case would be the highest rank in the templar formation, sings the different titles given to the Virgin Mary, while all together answer with the "ora pro nobis". So you will hear this part as a unified chorus through all the ranks. Chills going down my spine thinking of it.
I live in the Caversham Manor area of William Marshall our greatest Knight, he is buried in the Templer Church in London. We have St.Annes well and St Annes RC Church that has a black statue of Anne, it was a place of pilgrimage and still is. We have Templer crosses carved in the walls of another Church by the Knights.🌹🏴
I think the only way to tweak this now is maybe put the occasional sound of a horse in and maybe put the sound of moving chainmail with the footsteps. The singing truly is eerily beautiful.

@@Kilo_of_Milk He has it right here. You take a recording, duplicate it, add a slight delay, some reverberation, use a stereo widener and so the sounds are spread out between both left and right. That is all you need to do. It's simple stuff that even people new to composing can do. Hell if you wanted a more ghetto way, just use a chorus and slight delay on the vocals and that will widening it up and give it offset so as all the different layers of the same vocal will been in unison but not 1:1 over the top of each other (as that would just make the vocals loud and nothing more and you are wanting separation).

Be accurate with your history. The First Crusade, 1096 to 1099 resulted in the sacking of Jerusalem. It took almost 200 years for muslim forces to push the knights out.

I love listening to these! I'm no sound expert but to create the sound of individual voices marching by you could subtly change the volume of different frequencies of sounds to simulate different people singing passing by. Just a suggestion! Will be listening either way!

I still remember when me and my brothers marched side by side on the first crusade to recapture the city of Jerusalem and the Holy Land from Muslim control. This brings back so many joyful memories. May you rest in peace my brothers it was an honour to be there by your side.
This is great, i've found your channel recently and i can say that there has been a significant improvement in the quality of your videos, as you have also been really receptive to feedback. So, perhaps i can share some, as well :) In my opinion, a way to up the realism of the marching would be to add multiple channels of regular marching sounds that go at different speeds, not too different though, but just enough so that sometimes they will syncronize, sometimes they won't - basically, what you already have now, but duplicated and at different speeds. This would probably give a more natural and less "robotic" feel of the footsteps. Same can be done with the horse footsteps - also horse neighing and other lower sounds that a horse would make ( i don't know what they are called but could be considered growling i suppose ) would also be of help. If they were present already then upping the volume just a tad to be more hearable and alternating between types of neighting would be perfect. Other sounds than that, like " clink and clanks " of different parts of the equipment hitting each other, like scabbards hitting shields on the back or in hand, would probably do more harm than good as they can't really be heard that much anyway (or rather, it depends where the marching is heard from ) and would only bloat the sound overall in my opinion, but you could experiment if you want and see if that really is the case or not. That's just my two cents though, perhaps the sound of regular marching ( as in footsteps at regular intervals ) is better for a relaxation effect rather than a realistic one, who knows, and it also depends on what you want to do and your own vision, but i think this is great as well already as it stands and i do enjoy it a lot - the choice of the songs are also very appropriate and fits well, so keep up the great work ! :)

I think this episode is reason enough. I live in the Caversham Manor area of William Marshall our greatest Knight, he is buried in the Templer Church in London. We have St.Annes well and St Annes RC Church that has a black statue of Anne, it was a place of pilgrimage and still is. We have Templer crosses carved in the walls of another Church by the Knights.🌹🏴
I think the only way to tweak this now is maybe put the occasional sound of a horse in and maybe put the sound of moving chainmail with the footsteps. The singing truly is eerily beautiful.

@@Kilo_of_Milk He has it right here. You take a recording, duplicate it, add a slight delay, some reverberation, use a stereo widener and so the sounds are spread out between both left and right. That is all you need to do. It's simple stuff that even people new to composing can do. Hell if you wanted a more ghetto way, just use a chorus and slight delay on the vocals and that will widening it up and give it offset so as all the different layers of the same vocal will been in unison but not 1:1 over the top of each other (as that would just make the vocals loud and nothing more and you are wanting separation).

He could edit out any empty space to be silent, but there is little one could do for the reverb that is sounding while he is singing.

Be accurate with your history. The First Crusade, 1096 to 1099 resulted in the sacking of Jerusalem. It took almost 200 years for muslim forces to push the knights out.

I love listening to these! I'm no sound expert but to create the sound of individual voices marching by you could subtly change the volume of different frequencies of sounds to simulate different people singing passing by. Just a suggestion! Will be listening either way!

This is great, i've found your channel recently and i can say that there has been a significant improvement in the quality of your videos, as you have also been really receptive to feedback. So, perhaps i can share some, as well :)
In my opinion, a way to up the realism of the marching would be to add multiple channels of regular marching sounds that go at different speeds, not too different though, but just enough so that sometimes they will syncronize, sometimes they won't - basically, what you already have now, but duplicated and at different speeds. This would probably give a more natural and less "robotic" feel of the footsteps. Same can be done with the horse footsteps - also horse neighing and other lower sounds that a horse would make ( i don't know what they are called but could be considered growling i suppose ) would also be of help. If they were present already then upping the volume just a tad to be more hearable and alternating between types of neighting would be perfect. Other sounds than that, like " clink and clanks " of different parts of the equipment hitting each other, like scabbards hitting shields on the back or in hand, would probably do more harm than good as they can't really be heard that much anyway (or rather, it depends where the marching is heard from ) and would only bloat the sound overall in my opinion, but you could experiment if you want and see if that really is the case or not.
That's just my two cents though, perhaps the sound of regular marching ( as in footsteps at regular intervals ) is better for a relaxation effect rather than a realistic one, who knows, and it also depends on what you want to do and your own vision, but i think this is great as well already as it stands and i do enjoy it a lot - the choice of the songs are also very appropriate and fits well, so keep up the great work ! :)

@@PlayingEpic My pleasure, listening to it now multiple times, i am not so sure about the realistic marching anymore and i like this version more and more xD, so it's up to you if you'd like to integrate my suggestions. I am happy either way xD. Perhaps keeping one version regular and one realistic would be the best of both worlds and would offer more diversity.
I think the marching being almost robotic is incredibly relaxing. Like the heartbeat of the video.
You've done a great job on this. The horse sounds, and the armor would add to this. But well done, Sir.
No the perfect tempo of the footsteps is a little unsettling to the ear in my opinion as well.
