The guy answering the door did not look mad at all. Edit: Maybe I saw a smirk on the younger party's face at the mention of the late wife's rose bush.........
The neighbor's messy yard does not reflect upon Josh. If he feels that way, maybe he should not have bought that property. Also, Josh crossed boundaries by going onto the Burt's yard & mowing down the special rosebush. He didn't know it was something special, but that does not matter! It was WRONG. It belonged to someone else and was NOT his decision to make!! but his focus was on HIS special time getting it done to impress his coworkers instead of respecting another person's property. My sister did the same thing when she moved into my house for free, throwing away some special items of mine. She thought she was helping, & never admitted to being WRONG. That word was not mentioned here either. I can't believe Josh EXPECTS Burt to keep his lawn by Josh's standards instead of Burt's standards. We each have standards that are important to us that we need to maintain for peace within ourselves. Who is anyone else to expect me to change my standards to fit them?
1.Diffusion of anger 2.Negotiation 3.Neutrality on the part of the mediators 4.Caucus-interviewing the neighbours seperately to get uninterrupted 5.Co mediation-having more than one mediator
The young kid has no empathy and takes no responsibility for his actions. This is a role play but its sad because there are people like that, entitlement without any accountability for the impact on others.
I really feel bad for Burt that he has to put up with that kids crap. Fucking kid needs to learn some respect. Respect is earned, not given, and this kid doesn't respect him at all. I hope Burt has a happier life now that that kid is out of his hair.
I’m so grateful for this as I intend to
help my neighbors resolve some conflict
This video was so helpful for my course in human services counseling....thank you from a newly informed learner:)

It’s wonderful! Thank you for the video! ❤
Wonderful simulation. I really enjoy how the mediation process leads to transformative outcomes.
Thank you for posting. Great simulation and helpful for us.
Thanks for the role-play!
Fantastic neighbours conflict roly play
people need to stop caring about their neighbors houses and yards

I guess someone missed the point of the video.
Lucy Belle Scott i
Training video. You missed the point. Lets focus on how the mediators
You definitely would give all mediators a hard time 🤣
was this a real story? I'm just about to try Washington Resolution myself.
What is the topic of this role play ?
I'm curious what mediation skills worked in this video to help the two parties?

Did she just tell him what they talked about in the private meeting
She did🤦🏾♀️
he doesn't even know that his wife had been passed 2 yrs or 3 yrs away. just an observation..

He did him a favor by trimming his wife’s bush!!
Did you just post this to start a argument
Shut the fuck up, idiot. Burt didn't deserve that kids crap.
😂
lol. what a funny video
It’s kind of corny....it’s like two little kids fighting in elementary school...
Waatga
