Yeah I’m sitting here like: instead of subtracting shots fired could you not just use the barrier check already in place? I mean the game checks for a barrier THEN subtracts a shot fired. Why not just be IF !Barrier ++shot fired

While the explanation makes sense, it raises a whole different question. Why do her rifle and sleep dart have an effect on eachothers stats in the first place?
@Yippingfox Snipers need extra lines of coding to indicate whether or not the sniper shot when scoped or unscoped. That explained, there should be some code that counts the sleep dart as a projectile shot from the original gun and not a seperate gun. This would mean that both accuracies are effected because of how they made their accuracy count different for people who can scope.
Basically, they made a mistake and didn't notice it lol

@@recruit8921 the only thing i can say for sure is that happens when you swap.
Have you ever thought how exactly game keeps track of how many games you played with which character, considering you can swap while the match is going? As i understand, it takes percentage of match time you played, and remembers it. when it ticks over 100%, it increases the statistic for matches played. Wins are probably tracked not like the matches played, and that's why wins and games played mismatch sometimes.
@@recruit8921 because you can swap heroes in game, it would be easy to inflate your win percent on a character by switching to them only while winning, so it doesn't increment by "number of games won while playing x character vs number lost" but something more like "amount of time playing x character in a winning game vs amount of minutes in a losing game". They calculate that every x amount of minutes and if you don't have that many minutes on the character, it can get screwy with the prediction math iirc
I think you forgot Moiras ult, you can have 100%+ on both enemy and teammate accuracy

i was about to comment that! you can have more than 100% coal efficiency. i wonder if these stats can go into negative somehow (pummel and coalesence)
It might be harder for Moira’s ult to go negative because it is a hit scan raycast. This means that it cannot have travel time before the game starts. The trick shown in the video cannot work even if the players start with their ultimates in a custom game. Also Moira’s ult is made to hit multiple targets at once, so the game keeps track of the ult “efficiency” instead of accuracy. This this suggests that Moira having high efficiency is intentional unlike ram punch which keeps track of “accuracy”
its because its efficiency, not accuracy i guess. tracking accuracy as hitting multiple players at once is dumb anyway as that isn't really accuracy at that point

When the total number of player playing Overwatch falls to nearly 0, Marblr will probably keep finding bugs and glitches to make videos on.
moira's coalescence also works like ramattra's punches
-500% sleep dart accuracy means that on average, every time you fire your sleep dart, it hits yourself 5 times and sleep yourself 5x amount of time
It's one of those things where the second you point out the culprit it becomes so blatantly obvious

You displayed that JQ's jagged blade has the weird tracking, however, you can hit multiple people with one jagged blade, as it can hit someone, they die, and then it drops onto another person, which can result in a legitmate accuracy over 100%, similar to hitting multiple people with one pummel

The more of these videos I watch, especially always thinking about Shounic's (practically) sister project describing TF2's oddities, the more I understand the internal history of the game's code design. Earlier heroes (like Reinhardt) are well-designed, unbuggy, and consistent, while newer ones follow a linear scale of decreasing code quality. The way OW is programmed I guess avoids even *logging* null pointer dereferences as bugs, and things that I would be writing asserts for (like that ratios always stay in the range 0 - 100%) simply just fly past and corrupt the databases, maybe w/o Blizzard even being directly aware of it.
Overwatch has always been a game more directed by its art than by its programming & practicalities, and your channel is the proof for that.

Nice video, I am very sure that in Season 1/2 I had with Hanzo a critical hit rate of 150% sometimes at the beginning of a round. Since Season 3 but no longer...
This man literally figures out and solves at least 75% of all Overwatch 2 bugs and yet Blizzard still has no idea what's wrong ever or how to fix any of the bugs.
I'm sure some of the employees they fired to raise their profits for the quarter probably knew how.
