Really liked this video AJ, I'd really like to see one of the different dwarf clans. I'm keen to see a lot more "Forgotten Realms Histories", it's a nice break from the monster ecology videos (I do love them too though).
I don't play but i picked up the icewind dale trilogy when i was 18, been hooked since, I'm 33 now and I've read greenwood's, salvatore's, kemp's, hell i could fill a library with all the d&d stuff I've read, i love these lore vids
I have been trying to make a quick reference list of how each and every tribe is like and how you can make an encounter with each one. Now that you made this video, I have got to return to it.
One rumor. One rumor heard in a bar by a player resulted in one of my old campaigns central story hooks being the elk tribe moving into the dessarian valley. Lots of potential and variance with these guys
Oh a video detailing any Orc wars would be amazing to see, maybe even taking a video per war/battle and getting into detail about the major characters :D
Since Uthgar can only see up to an hour only after someone at least say his name or do something in his honor, my barbarian is one of this lunatic who kept whispering "Uthgar"
Any time I play a Barbarian I play them as a youth coming from a Uthgardt tribe on a quest into adulthood. Rites ov Passage sort ov thing. Allows my DM to play around with my backstory and any cultural/racial enemies that might want some vengeance up on my tribe. And it is just fun to have the options that each different tribe offers as starting ideology and tribal beliefs.
AJ could you please do videos on current character stats of popular fictional characters like Elminster, or Szass tam or Drizzt, or Artemis entreri. You know magical items character level abilities, only someone like you could pull that off, I'm wondering if you would do it please?
I love your channel im a huge fan particularly of forgotten realms faerun ive played Baldur's gate 1 and 2 icewind dale 1 and 2 and both never winter nights . id love to see you make more videos on faerun itself famous people places etc
Hey AJ this video gave me some perspective on the Hobgoblins and the realization that they are kind of on a downward spiral. Starting with their religion The moast powerful god killed moast of the parthenon only keeping Bugbear god as a lackey and the trickster god surviving as the Nilbog Spirit compared to the Uthgaurd tibes having their original parthenon intact and have added to it with their Warrior God King namesake Uthgaur and their tribal animal spirits. Next is your video showed that the tribes cultur is growth and evolution while Hobgoblins have such little to no change especially when you include the Orc's in that comparison.
bit of a pointless post Rickey. These videos are for you to learn about the world, take what you want and inspire you to create things for your own game, nobody really cares if you have a use for it.

Wulfgar! I always wondered about that character's history.
Right? Im sure that was an interesting upraising and leaving .
As I create another detailed character. Here AJ is again to help out!
I love your work man ^_^

Beverage grabbed, ready to get deep in the nerdyness.
Thanks again for an educational video.
While ed greenwood is still alive I would love for you to try to get an interview with him! These are amazing

Great video super interesting
Good video AJ
I have to be partial to The Black Lions. My military company was called The BLACK LIONS.😁
Great video. Very academic, you could almost be watching a doc on Romans or Huns.

Great vid, but I have no use for it. Monster ecologies and area history is nice, but this is too spesific for my game.
