I love my SL. If you can give it a proper setup (truss rod, adjust string height and bridge, stretch new strings, lubricate nut) and you have a decent amp or amp modeler and this baby sings. I put chrome knobs to give it a telecaster look. I love the wraparound bridge where I don't need to mess with intonation, and the 3x3 tuners which do their job very well. Very nice playing and tones!
Thank you! I agree, exactly!! I'm always surprised how good this gear is. Proper setup is very important. When I play this about 5 minutes, tuning goes bad!! But I love this!
@@jazz-chichi I recommend you string your guitar using this method, when done correctly, no guitar or tuner will go out of tune ever again! Make sure you stretch your strings and lubricate the nut with a sharp pencil! ruclips.net/video/_sAQcAlAeKU/видео.html
The stock tuners are not really very good. They have too much play, like half or more of a turn of slack before you can detect a change in pitch when tuning up. I replaced mine with 18:1 locking tuners and it now tunes and holds much better. Also, the fixed intonation bridge is fine at the 12th fret but not very good at the 7th or 5th fret. I replaced mine with a wrap around bridge with built in intonation saddles and it intonates properly now. The metal on the original bridge is very soft as well so any adjusting to the bridge height will easily leave marks in the screws unless you use a something that will go completely across the slot. Aside from those simple upgrades, it does sound decent enough for the money.
This is Epiphone Les Paul SL! It's good for its price. But tuner is not so good and always out of tune. If you are not student player, I would not recommend!
I got one of these in a pawn shop last week and it plays and sounds great.
Sounds like the real Les Paul in vintage films i watched in the 50's. Cudos!
Cheap guitars today are far better than cheap guitars 20 to 40 years ago!
I'm impressed
Yeah, today price is nothing to do with especially sound I think.
Expensive one is good and cheap one is also good enough!
Complimenti! Grande mano, grande suono, grande chitarra! 👍 🎸
Thank you🎸😍
I have one of these. It's a great guitar !!
Yeah, I would say tone is nothing to do with its price!

@markpearce7405 they do now call it the Epiphone Les Paul Melody Maker (when it came out it was called the SL).
