It's funny that you're friends with America immediately, because it was the Americans who strong-armed Japan into opening up trade to the world in the early 1850s. Commodore Matthew Perry (the one we have a Great Admiral of in Civ VI!) led two expeditions to accomplish this.
As a bear who’s favourite civ is Japan I am excited for this entire series!!! But I do always feel sad when I remember Japan has only ONE leader😢but Tokugawa is glorious and perfect so I don’t even want a different leader!
@@Scallers813 that’s the joke! Basically there was this one time when I forgot about Hojo and everyone thought it was funny on stream! So I’m just keeping up the bit. Oh and also you saw nothing and I don’t know who this “Hojo” guy is
Honestly, I really like that industrial hub. Like, yes, it was pre-planned, but at the same time, it feels incredibly natural, especially with the intercity trade & stuff centered on that region.

That fidget spinner reminds me of the lucky spinner I got with Vietnam and my first 3 cities were able to build 3 +12 Culture Encampments! I saw it, couldnt believe it, and absolutely refused to pin it just in case the Civ resources magically ruined it!
I always wondered if John Curtsains AI knows its buffs, and if they start a war due to allies attacking him when he started a war to get the buffs, or if it's just something John just enjoys doing!
As for the tiles flooding during the building of a dam, I am curious if it's based off of reality. Is it possible that while construction of a dam is in process if it effects the surroundings during building, and its just some code Sid threw in for realism
Rip the awesome +4 Campus in RBHeadge. This is why pins are good...
Oh yeah good point 😅
I audibly said “oof”
Haha - there is another +4 I use later - I think you're all forgetting I had to not die first xD

Watch how many artifacts are going to be in that lake 😂
I was screaming "use your galley" at all Australia's embarked units.
He said in the last episode that he wanted to keep it in the city to keep the city strength up
I did indeed have it boosting my city - I should have used it after making my uniques though = ) I was too worried about it being killed by the xbows!
"Muscat-men"! Thorns in Curtain's side! Heroes of all! Huzzah!

Beating back Curtin was a thing of beauty. Let the Australians never forget Lake Disappointment.
Meanwhile, in real life, between me and Melbourne sits Mt Disappointment, so named because the colonial explorers couldn't see the sea from its peak.

Also becoming friends with the Portugese early is also weirdly historically accurate.
I am nothing if not accidently accurate

Japan has 2 leaders what do u mean? There’s Hojo and there’s Tokugawa.

Australia is my favorite Civ, but that’s when I’m the one playing it
Muscatmen should be that city-state's unique unit.
Very good
What a joyous game! Can't wait to see the aircraft carriers come out! Huzzah!
Congrats on surviving the Australian offense
Hawk of war! Scourge of all deity early wars!
In Civ 7 I hope a Commander in a city gets experience from city strikes.
Wow that was a short amount of time to suddenly be the diplomatic leader of the world.
It's all in the confidence = )

Hi can someone explain why Brussels left the war when you only had 3 envoys there and Curtin had 4?
4 means you need 4 to beat Australian 3. 3 is a tie so nobody has suz, so they left the war.
A tie is good enough!
Thanks!
Can u play the game wıthout commentatıng by yourself after all these videos :))
