    Impressive. I found the same pair on the donations rack at a homeless shelter. They are basically in perfect condition besides some creases and some scuffs.

    You resurrected these 12’s from the grave. Now, I’d like to see you “test drive” these sneakers, as I’m interested in knowing how the soles will hold up after you glued them back on again. Also, when the sneakers get dirty again, how do you re-clean them once you’ve painted them over once? Restoring the shoes is one thing, but are they able to stand the test when they get worn down again. Overall, very good initial restoration, it looks nice from the offset.

    • @SneakerStation
      @SneakerStation  Год назад

      A correct application will keep them glued down for several years. Barge superstik is extremely strong. The shoe I glued in my reglue tutorial is still perfectly glued also.
      The sneakers are protected with a matte finisher, so it’s safe to clean them with soap and water if it gets dirty afterwards.

    I have to touch my pair of royalty 12s, do you think i should use angelus matte white or just regular white?

    • @SneakerStation
      @SneakerStation  2 года назад +1

      I always use the matte white. The only difference between the two is the shine it leaves. Regardless, you should use a matte protector, so they’ll both end up looking the same in the end.

    • @emazing617
      @emazing617 2 года назад

      @@SneakerStation what kind of protector would you use?

    • @SneakerStation
      @SneakerStation  2 года назад +1

      Krylon matte finisher. Make sure you shake the can for like 2 minutes before each use. One light pass over the area should be good. If you over saturate the area with finisher it will be less durable in the long run.

      @@SneakerStation No, I mean the shoes are in a condition so bad but the outer soles are still not worn out, still in brand new condition, I had the 12's before and I can guarantee you the outer soles are going out first, way before the rest of the shoe.

    Rit whitener and brightener works wonders on yellowed Jordan mesh, and laces. I find myself a lot of times having to use a magic eraser on leather tongues that get deep stains from laces over time. Even medium bristled brushes do not get it off for me.

      @@SneakerStation on the inside of those shoes there are three layers. From the inside out you have the polyester sock liner then a canvas like material and finally the leather outer.
